Got two teeth which need dental care caused me pain for well over 4 weeks. Called again today expressing my situation just to be dismissed using the same excuses phoning in daily which i have done and got Nowhere for it. While at the same extent openly advertising for private patients. Under advice of nhs 111 you are going to be reported for failure duty of care act 1984 towards nhs patients utterly disgusting. Clearly can offer appointments only if you pay privately!

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that we have not been able to offer you an NHS appointment. Our practice is providing NHS services, however, as we have a number of unfilled NHS dentist vacancies, we are currently not able to accommodate every patient who is contacting us seeking NHS dental care. We do have a number of private clinicians at the practice who offer private appointments outside of any NHS contractual obligations. These private options will be offered to patients as an alternative way to access dental care with us, until our NHS appointment capacity can be expanded in the future. Over the past five years, I have had multiple Appointments cancelled at the last minute.With only a notification saying that it's circumstances out of our control. However, due to me having exposed nerve on a tooth, I rang yesterday to be told that my dentist has quit the practice with no notification And if I want an appointment, I have to wait weeks and weeks and weeks or ring daily at 8 AM to play a lottory for an appointment, Which I already have countless times just to get constant engaged tone and the when I do eventually get through to be told there's no more appointments available today.This is beyond a joke. Clearly only interested in private paying patients were NHS, patients are just passed from pilllar to post. It's the fact that you could not even be bothered to tell me that my dentist has quit the practice. No, you just left me hanging with nothing Instead. And to think at one time, I would recommend my dentist to anyone I know, however, now it's the complete opposite you are disgusting.

Unfortunately on two occasions following treatment I have been left in a situation where I have needed follow up care, once due to an infection and secondly left with an exposed nerve due to a temporary filling falling out. On both occasions I was unable to see my dentist despite calling every morning. Both scenarios have been extremely painful and could have been avoided if I had been able to see my dentist. Extremely frustrating it has left me with concerns regarding future treatment.

The dentist I have is so caring from start of the treatment til the end and I suffer with my back and cannot lay flat she always sits me up as far upright as she can , The reception staff are also nice and helpful

Waited a year for an NHS appointment, they cancelled it but offered an appointment for next year, said if I could pay private they could get us in, I said I couldn't pay private so I'll take the appointment for next year, then said I couldn't have one next year after saying we could and then threw us off their books. In that year, I could have been looking for another dentist for myself and my daughter. Why offer appointment for next year and then throw us off your books because I can't pay private after you took us on as NHS patients? Appalling!

As you may be aware, we do have several dentist vacancies at your practice and are actively trying to recruit. Unfortunately, recruitment of dentist’s post pandemic is proving extremely difficult. There is a shortage of dentists in the UK which is making attracting dentists to certain areas of the country more difficult and we are experiencing challenges in recruiting to the area. However, we are looking at all options to attract and re-locate dentists to your practice. Please be assured that the vacancies are not through any lack of trying or apathy on our part, purely that recruiting dentists, is proving difficult. However, whilst we are recruiting, if you experience a dental emergency, e.g. pain, swelling or bleeding then you can still contact the practice and they will triage your symptoms and advise you how obtain emergency assistance until the practice is fully staffed. Always had a fear of dentists as i had a terrible experience when I was a child but going my dentist peel Street barnsley I was made to feel relaxed and very reassured can't thank them enough.

My 4 year old son is autistic and was extremely frightened of the dentist and had a meltdown on the floor, the dentist came down to his level and looked in his mouth as best as she could without distressing him anymore than he was. The dentist was kind, professional and very understanding.

Went to see my dentist to repair a broken tooth. After contacting the reception team and explained my predicament I was booked in for an appointment in just a few weeks, it was classed as non urgent as there was no pain. When I attended my appointment the reception staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. I was quickly seen by my dentist who took the time to make me feel comfortable snd assuage any nervousness I was feeling. After a brief description of my problem they took a look and explained the treatment plan necessary to repair my tooth. Both the dentist and their assistant were very attentive, caring, friendly and professional. They carried out the treatment with very little discomfort and gave aftercare advice. I was extremely happy with the outcome.
