    i went for a filling, the dentist messed it up which resulted me in having a root canal, which i then had to have my tooth taken out

    I had my checkup last November, but was told my Dentist was leaving which is a shame as she is very good. I have since been trying to book a check up, but have been told today I no longer have a Dentist, and if I have a problem I have to ring for a emergency Dentist, I have been at this practice for over 15 years. I feel that this is disgraceful.

    I have been with this dental practice for over two decades and have always received excellent care from an extremely good member of the practice. On checking up with reception I was told that my dentist is leaving the practice and I no longer have a dentist. I then suggested to change to another dentist and was told that the other NHS dentists were too heavily booked up. They did tell me however, that a new dentist has joined the practice and they were waiting for clearance from the NHS for the new member of staff. Well we shall see what the outcome will be. This we are told is a nationwide problem where dentists are deserting the NHS for private care. As a staunch NHS supporter I have related this problem to my member of parliament, maybe this government or the next one can give dentists a better incentive to stay with the NHS.

    I had to access emergency dental care and the practice got back to me and booked in within the hour. My dentist was reassuring and highly professional and resolved my issue with dental repair with great advice of ongoing treatment. Thank you.

    From entering the practice the lady's on the reception are very polite friendly and helpful the reception is very clean. On seeing the dentist a young lady led the wayshe was very polite and friendly as she led the way. My dentist greeted me in the friendly polite manner as always throughout my visit were outstanding how the practice is being run is outstanding in my opinion.

    MyDentist in Frome MyDentist in Frome, Somerset. First he repaired a partly lost filling that he himself had put in two years prior. Then that filling came out after six months. That’s when I went to another dentist in the same clinic that did a good temporary filling that still holds after six months. He was initially going to charge me as I had changed the dentist but I insisted and the clinics policy agreed that a lost filling is replaced for free. Now the reason I’m raising awareness is that on my first visit to the clinic and the first dentist who first repaired my tooth did not only do a poor job but he was constantly undermining his nurse aid assistant. I felt embarrassed for her sake. At the time I didn’t say anything except siding with the nurse in the exchange. But after having this poor dental care, to which I must add the dentist failed to note and save the repair of the filling. The reason I know that is because the second dentist could not find it when going through my records in the same clinic. I’m happy to name names unless this is an isolated case.     I brought my 'reluctant' Son to Rodden Road Dental Practice to have a custom made sports mouth guard made. The Dentist was as always very welcoming and professional but more importantly maintained an uplifting and reassuring manner that put my Son at ease from the start. Thanks to the skill and keen attention to detail of the Dentist the mouthguard fits perfectly and is far superior to any over the counter option. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the practice and the Dentist he saw who clearly loves his job and takes pride in his work.

    I have attended this practice for a number of years and so far have only had check ups. However, I am a very nervous patient having had a traumatic experience many years ago. The two dentists who I have seen, both women, were sensitive,patient and caring and won my confidence for which I am grateful.

    I have left messages requesting a call back to book an appointment and got no reply. I have waited for half an hour in a que on the phone to book an appointment only for them to hang up as soon as I get to the top of the que, three times in a row which I can only assume is deliberate after wasting my time in a phone que. Service used to be good, now it seems it just doesn't exist.
