I have had to visit St Ives My Dentist 7 times between January and June this year, three times in an emergency pain/infection situation, due to a very tricky upper molar. The reception team have been fantastic in this period, particularly when I needed emergency treatment (once before an international flight on the same day that my tooth became horribly infected). They've listened, reassured and managed to get me emergency treatment very quickly, most often within 3 hours! Their kind, calm and cheerful approach is really appreciated. I have been treated by 3 dentists in this time, all brilliant. My own dentist has seen me 5 times and saved my tooth, undertaking root canal treatment. This has been a long, but hopefully successful process. My dentist, and the dental nurse, have been amazing. My dentist has carefully explained every step of the treatment and their incredible skill have meant pain free treatment. When the tooth became infected, again, in between root canal treatments, I was seen within 3 hours and the horribly painful tooth treated quickly and successfully. I need to go back to, hopefully, have the tooth crowned. Having grown up with an acute fear of going to the dentist (due to some horrible memories of dental treatment in the 1970s) I have no qualms about going to My Dentist in St Ives, thanks to the wonderful team there. I am a very grateful NHS patient. Huge thanks to the whole team.

Needed to see a dentist as an emergency so called up on the day and got an appt straight away. Given antibiotics and told what the next treatment was that I needed. Was really sympathetic as I had not need for a while and not judgemental at all. All in a so relieved to have been seen and the pain taken away. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

From the start of my visit the reception staff were friendly, polite and very professional. I haven’t been to the dentist for a while so was a little anxious to what treatment I would need. However, as soon as I walked into the room I was greeted by a friendly dentist who listened to me and put my mind at ease straight away. She was fantastic, explained what she was going to do, made me feel at ease and made me feel completely relaxed throughout the appointment. She is a credit to the Dental practice. Thank you

The practice frequently cancels appointments with no explanation as to why. The latest time my son's appointment was cancelled (not for a further 2 months time) and I was told to ring back in September! another 6 month wait. I never accept an appointment will be kept it's a lottery.

Rang today to make an appointment only to find out they've removed me from their list - no notice - no discussion. Want me to become a private patient - awful tactic, really shocked as been a patient a long time
