I have no complaint about my treatment or staff at this practice. However, I spent sometime online completing a medical questionnaire only to be asked to fill in the same questionnaire on paper when I arrived for my appointment! Why? The receptionist suggested not bothering with the online one in future. Then why waste my time sending it? I had all the information needed (NHS no. etc) at home, not so in the practice. Furthermore I found some of the questions intrusive and seemingly irrelevant. Where is this information being stored, who has access to it and what is it used for? A dyslexic client at the time I was there had trouble filling in the paper form whereas they'd had assistance completing the online version. Perhaps the way in which this questionnaire is delivered should be reviewed?

It’s tough organising dental care for a loved one, especially when they are vulnerable and you live remotely. However, I wasn’t expecting to be asked to pay up front and in full for a Private consultation, almost 3 weeks before an appointment could be made with a ‘new’ dentist which even the Receptionist clearly had no prior knowledge of. No mention was made of an X-ray to determine how their new patient might be assessed and what treatment(s) they might require. Just pressure to pay up front in full via credit card or forego any treatment - whatever that might have been. When I asked to speak with a Manager I was told that they were “on holiday” and the Receptionist, (name supplied on request) was in charge. Is this what I should have expected for my Private patient? No it was not. So we went elsewhere. The Receptionist there was 100% focused on patient care - as it should be. They even offered flexible payment options, after the appointment.
