    I went there with 2 of my kids and they are very punctual and attentive, i appreciate their good work and service. The appointment was for check up to find out whether kids are qualified for braces, we were happy that my kids were qualified.

    The practice keeps emailing me to leave a review rather than acknowledge my email complaint or previous review so I will leave another one! Absolutely disgusting experience. Do not use this practice! After waiting over a year for an appointment very rude dentist who didn’t even know what my daughter’s very common condition was, looked in her mouth for 10 seconds and shouted not eligible for NHS! I was aware this may be the case so asked what the cost/treatment would be in we paid? He sighed very rudely and reluctantly gave me a price but no information! I will be paying but not here! Disgraceful customer service and the fact the practice can’t even respond speaks volumes! Avoid at all costs!

    The team of receptionists are courteous and professional. My son’s bracket fell off recently and the team offered me an appointment the very next day. By 10am the next day my son was back home, he said they were quick and good.

    After waiting for over a year for this appointment, the dentist looked in my daughter's mouth for 10 seconds, said not eligible for NHS treatment then tried to manhandle her out of the seat! I said what about private treatment and he sighed and reluctantly gave me a price! I will be going private but definately not with this practice. Appalling customer service. I do not know his name as he didn't bother to introduce himself before dismissing us so rudely! I work for NHS England so am appalled at this terrible behaviour. Well done on losing a potential customer! Avoid at all costs!!!

    Dentist is very Rude with my Daughter, he was not explain properly to my daughter and then angry her , After his assistant lady told to my daughter properly then every thing was alright. The way Dentist approach to the kids are definitely Rude.

    I waited over a year for this appointment, to get some advice and understanding of the next step of my treatment. However the dentist was not very friendly, didn't spend much time to explain things in a friendly manner and was less cooperative.

    1st time I went with my child, I wasn’t impressed to the point where I didn’t want to return but we did and I’m glad to say since then it has been a positive experience. Was very easy to get appointments in the beginning although the last two times, not so easy. Reception staff seem helpful and two orthodontists we have seen are professional and the man in particular seems very experienced / knowledgeable in his job. I’m glad we ended up sticking with this place and I would recommend.

    Cannot fault the reception staff: extremely friendly and attentive. When visiting recently as a family for my son (who is under 18 and in full time eduction) I can only assume the man we see was a dentist, as he failed to introduce himself nor explain what he was doing. For someone that works within the NHS and is bound to make a patients experience a positive one, he failed this on every level: extremely rude, unkempt and unprofessional. Even to the basic of infection control, which if CQC was to pay a visit on this day, he would not of passed. To be wearing the same gloves before we had entered the room and to continue to then place the same said hands into my son’s mouth whilst handling papers and touching surfaces before, during and after examination. This behaviour is applauding. The examination which took not even 30 seconds, and without asking any appropriate questions he continued to state; “he does not meet the NHS criteria for braces” and continued to shove a poster into our hands showing pictures of teeth that the NHS warrants and does not warrant for further treatment ie braces. There are methods and ways of examining and explaining procedures to a patient and he did not do any of this; it was a ‘computer says no’ attitude. When we questioned this he continued to point out the poster and for our other questions he told us to go back to our own dentist. All I can say is that yous as an organisation are obviously on a sure thing: make people wait year(s) for an appointment, when they visit tell them ‘no’ and refer back to own dentist, then put a hefty bill through to the NHS for an appointment consultation. Win win for yous but not for us that require assistance or at least advice, which is something he declined nor even wanted to give us. Overall the whole appointment took as much time as it took for me to complete the online questionnaire that is required before examination: approx. 3-4 minutes. We spent more time exchanging pleasantries with the reception staff before and after consultation, which just goes to show how unaccommodating the dentist ‘professional’ was. Moving forward I would hope that he gets time to get adequate training to be upskilled in customer service and infection control. Unfortunately, for us it looks as though we will have to seek private professional assistance even though we have paid into the national health service for over 30 years and the treatment required is for a minor. Extremely appalling and unacceptable, never would I recommend anyone to use this service. Do better!

    Dear Marie, Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to learn that you were unhappy following your visit to our practice. We would like to apologise that we were unable to treat your son and that your expereince was not a positive one. Patients are referred to us from their usual dentists and we have no control over who is referred. Patients go on our waiting list and are seen currently around 12 months. The NHS are strict on criteria for braces. If a patient does not meet the criteria, we explain this to the patient including showing a visual to help explain further. We do not consider it a win, when a patient doesnt meet the criteria, as our aim is to provide orthodontic treatment to correct teeth and smiles.
