We all go along that service's in the NHS are stretched an carry a heavy work load . However my experience with this practice today an previously begs me to ask the question are these NHS subsidised practices really interested in the service they provide or just the public money they bring in . I've just attended an appointment pre paid a deposit , of course balanced on my arrival when booked in an waited for nearly an hour . Only when I enquiries to be informed I've been totally forgot about an the hygienists I was supposed to see has left to go on holiday . It doesn't happen often am told. Granted I was just in time but not late for my appointment an I did start to suspect a possible problem when I saw the hygienists Ive seen before high fiving an saying her good byes to staff to go on holiday . But surely they wouldn't take my money an just forget abaut me . The hygienists even saw me waiting looked straight at me . If I pre pay an appointed an a balance on arrival when I book in at reception there's no way I should just be forgot abaut , unless as I say the treatment isn't priority . I've had problems before with the Chorley branch of this practice . I previously had to go back after a filling , wich felt like a big piece of chewing gum just led on top of the tooth in my mouth , an ask for it to be looked at . Once trimmed an made neater felt much better , but it's my belief it should of been done like that in the first place . It didn't go down well when on a check up I asked if the Dentist ever gives the teeth a basic scale an polish , if need be but this was resented when previously at other NHS practices it's been done not all the time an not in depth but just a basic job as nothing else required preventative . So I book an pay to see the hyghygienists . You could say there's not time you could say the chair times needed for other treatment that's the hyghygienists department . But you're back side barley touches the chair on a check up you pay for everything up front , and as I say when I've had treatment it hasn't been done properly an I've had to go back to get a proper job . Now I book pay to see the hyghygienists an after paying a pre deposit ( of course ) and the balance up front ( absolutely ) on arrival an waiting best part of an hour I'm totally forgotten about . Only to be informed she's gone on holiday I can book in for a months time and it doesn't happen often . It was honestly like I had no right to be annoyed . I tell you why I won't re book an I'll be looking for another practice . The people behind that practice aren't focused on the treatment there operation or how it runs there focused on taking the money , an the people that come through the door for granted . Went as an emergency with an abcess gave me antibiotics what wasn’t a long enough course so was left with an untreated abscess very in professional

Absolutely fantastic job done by receptionist, dentist and dental assistant Been messed around with other practices from months now and all sorted in 25 mins tonight. Thanks again ladies

I came here as an nervous emergency patient, and the staff was lovely right through till the end, and even the surgeon who i saw was very welcoming and very reasurring, I don't have a nhs dentist but if I did I would like to go there again.

Very polite friendly staff. I have always felt at ease. The new dentist I have seen on the last two occasions I was at the practice has been so kind and made me feel so comfortable.

Very friendly and efficient receptionist team,made you feel at ease. The Dentist and assistant were also excellent and explained everything and didn't rush you,very professional. I would highly recommend. Mrs C.A.Cheetham.

All the staff were 1st class, very approachable, friendly and efficient. Particularly as this was NHS emergency treatment I was very impressed and seen the same day
