I was referred to sevn dental for an extraction and was apprehensive. However the Dental Surgeon soon put me at ease and did a fantastic job. There was a lovely Dental Nurse too.

  4. Review titled Ridiculous Dental Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was first made an appointment in March and it was booked in May. One week before the appointment date, I received an SMS saying my appointment is being cancelled because the practice stop receiving new NHS patient. On the date that my "canceled" appointment, I received another SMS saying I was no show to the appointment. What a joke? I was then called the practice and asked what is going on?The staff said I was no show for the appointment but he can book me into another appointment. Therefore, he booked me in mid July. Today, I received a familiar SMS saying my appointment is being cancelled. Again, the excuse is not to receive any more new NHS patient at the moment. I called the practice asked again what is happening and the staff claimed that the practice will receive new NHS patient in Aug and asked me to try to call again in Aug.

  5. Review titled Disgraceful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Said they were taking on new NHS patients. Booked me an appointment for 6 weeks time. Texted me a week before to cancel it. I called them to rebook and was told they could not offer me another appointment as I was a new NHS patient.

  6. Review titled No toilet facilities

Rated 1 star out of 5

A big practice, seemingly large client footfall, with no toilet facilities. Toilets, according to another patient, have been out of action for some time. Staff refused to allow me to use their facilities and I was expected to sit in a dentist’s chair having a tooth removed whilst desperate to use the toilet because I have bladder issues. Disgustingly poor level of patient care. Cant speak for their dentistry skills because I left. The lack of toilet facilities for patients in any medical practice is unacceptable.

  7. Review titled Not accepting new NHS patients

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Contrary to the practice's website, this practice is not accepting new NHS patients. Their email address bounced. The receptionist was highly dismissive when I suggested that they should update the website and NHS England listing to say that they are no longer accepting new NHS patients.

  8. Review titled I'm highly impressed with the service and the practice.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The service has been excellent on all three visits for the initial assessment and cleaning, a re-cemented crown and then an extraction and some root treatment. I have no hesitation in recommending the Seven Dental Practice in Nottingham. My past experiences, many years ago, kept me away for far too long. After these three visits, I have nothing but appreciation and respect for dentists, probably for the first time in my life.

  9. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Not sure if this applies to all dentist but I feel the dental services need to be reviewed? I called seven dental after experiencing toothache and was told I had been taken off their records because I had cancelled an appointment, the only way they could see me now was as a private patient, they got me to sign 3 forms at the first appointment without explaining what I was signing. First time I was given antibiotics and asked to be back after several weeks later to do the exact same thing but as an NHS patient? I know I need an extraction and don't need 2 appointments to know that!! I'm still waiting for my extraction 2 months after my very first appointment :( I feel the service could be so much better

  10. Review titled I feel like I’m being scammed!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 February 2023

I was initially referred to this dentist in December via 111 - I was experiencing debilitating wisdom tooth pain and this surgery booked me in for the following day. At the initial appointment, I was charged the basic NHS rate (£23) and prescribed two courses of antibiotics; however, their x-ray machine was broken so I was booked in at Hucknall a week later for the x-ray. The dentist advised I would need all wisdom teeth removing, but an infection would need to clear first. The dentist at Hucknall was lovely and corroborated the first, saying that keeping the teeth would only result in further problems as I age. He informed me he would include this advice in his email with the x-ray to the Nottingham surgery. In January, I returned to 7 Dental. I assumed that this was to resolve the extraction issue and review the x-ray, but I was told this was a new check up appointment. When called to my appointment, I was inside for less than five minutes (most of that was signing to confirm my health status and agreeing fees) and I was asked what I wanted to do about the wisdom teeth. I explained - again - that both dentists had advised extraction, and that my previous dentist in Mansfield had referred me to hospital, but it was during Covid and I never heard back. I don’t know whether this dentist didn’t understand, but he ended the appointment there and charged me £66 for the referral - still no scale and polish, or anything that I associate with a dental ‘check up’; just more money taken from my account. Anyway, I have now received a voicemail from 7 Dental to book in for my extraction. Am I being taken for a mug? Will I be charged an obscene amount because I’m constantly being referred back to them for nothing to happen? It’s becoming a joke. I just called back to book in (I can’t answer the phone whilst at work) and the line was so quiet, I thought I had the wrong number. Anyway, the woman merely took my details and said someone from the surgery would phone me back (who was I actually speaking to!?). To summarise, avoid this surgery if you want to save yourself from spending hundreds of pounds on nothing. The entire operation feels like a scam.
