I have been a patient since this practice was set up at Southbrook Terrace. If, like me, you have had bad experiences with dentists in the past I want to reassure you. For most of my life my one great fear was a visit to the dentist. I always had severe pain after visiting and generally found the whole experience pretty traumatic. Such concerns disappeared after I became a patient at Southbrook Terrace. This dentist is a really supportive and empathetic individual who always has time for his patients concerns and gives them confidence both in him and any treatment they will receive. Throughout my time as a patient I have had excellent and supportive treatment and, no matter how serious a state my teeth were in I never feared visiting. I am about to move 200 miles or so back to Wales and that is the sole reason I am leaving this practice. I sincerely hope that in the future I'll find a dentist half as considerate and competent. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice to any potential patient.

After being registered with an excellent dentist for over thirty years I decided--after his retirement and a subsequent upgrading/expansion of the practice--to transfer to the Southbrook Practice in the centre of Bradford. My wife was already registered there and had been singing their praises for the last ten years--so I did expect a good service but nothing like as good as what I found! On registration last year I realized--by talking to other clients and the staff-- in what high esteem the dentist was held. It was evident that this practice was a vitally important community resource, loved and trusted by all concerned. I was struck by how collaborative my subsequent dental treatment was--my old friend in Baildon had been monosyllabic at best: "They'll do!" was about as far as he went! Receptionists and assistants were all fully involved and the level of mutual respect and professional regard was quite remarkable! Last week one of my teeth split. When I rang the practice they fitted me in for examination that very afternoon and two days later --after a long and careful process--had fully restored it. It had been completely painless-- almost an enjoyable experience as the dentist and his assistant talked me through it step by step. The only worry I had was that I might start laughing--I never knew that you could have such seriously witty dentists!--and bite in two some vital piece of equipment... The tooth is holding up fine--I could feel the care and craft that had gone into all that remedial work!--and now I fully understood the reasons for my wife's enthusiasm over the years. Southbrook Dental Centre is indeed a credit to the profession and to the NHS and also to the people of Bradford in these difficult times... Thanks to all concerned--Bill Broady 28/10/2024
