Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

A very pleasant and welcoming practice. I was put at ease and procedures were explained by the dentist, who I was meeting for the first time. My experience with the hygienist was also friendly and professional. I would recommend the practice to anyone that can afford it

After having had two implants at this practice, yesterday I had a porcelain veneer fitted and I am delighted with the result. The standard of dentistry and the friendly atmosphere are two big pluses at this practice.

Always very friendly and helpful dentist I had an abscess under one of my molar teeth, the dentist gave me antibiotics and explained that if I continued to have problems the tooth would need to come out

My first meeting with my new dentist went very well. He was very respectful and easy to talk to, and also someone I could get on with.

Review titled Good service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jeffrey Sargeant - Posted on 23 November 2024
As usual I was treated very professionally by all the staff at the practice. The procedure was fully explained and my acceptance sought at all stages during the treatment. The injections were administered without pain and the filling preparation likewise. All in all the treatment was as pleasant as possible.

Emergency appointment was required for a tooth abscess and an appointment provided for the following morning, at which the problem was identified and resolved. Great service.

Review titled Barely Satisfactory
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Our latest appointment, I thought was going to be for a cleaning and they only applied some flouride on a few teeth for my kids. I have come to realise that you are only getting the bare minimum health care in the UK. You get what you pay for, nothing. With there being no option for family doctors/dentist with private health care cost or insurance you are at a high risk here for poor health. There is no preventative care whatsoever, therefore you have to get sick in order to receive treatment. This is totally senseless. I know realise why so many people here have poor dental/personal health. You can rant and rave all you like about receiving proper care, it's not going to happen because you are not paying for the care. NHS is bare minimum care **only**!! Prayerfully, you can afford to leave the country and receive proper healthcare somewhere where the doctors/country actually care what happens to you. The attitude of the dentist/assistant was absolutely inviting and pleasant. I don't blame them, as they can only carry out care to the NHS standard. One of the receptionist, however left a sour taste in our mouths as she was not very inviting, in fact she was very dismissive. I hope it wasn't racially based but that was the feeling we were left with. Other than this the facility is clean and the appointment and wait time is not too bad considering the horror stories I've been told.

Review titled Excellent dental care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My recent visit was an unexpected occurrence between my regular appointments. I was seen within three hours and diagnostic assessment was immediate, including x-ray imaging. This is not the first time I have received emergency treatment at this practice. The entire staff, office, nurses and dentists are very professional, conscientious, friendly and approachable. The practice is very well-equipped with modern equipment and technology. As a long-term patient I have seen this practice evolve over the last 40+ years. I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone who values their dental health. Well done Arnold Detal Cenre.
