Well I suffer with depression and anxiety, been in and out of hospital for the last 9 months, also made them aware when joining them my fear of dentists, now due to missed appointments when I was In hospital, they are telling me nhs policies they can’t treat me there any more, why leaving me with out a bottom dentures, along with top ones that are far to big, I’ve lost a lot of weight because of this, yes my fault because I missed appointments due to my mental health, but now have to find a dentist to take me on as a patient with long waiting lists, I don’t go out because I don’t want to be seen like this, but they have no care or support for people that go trough these mental health issues, this will be taken further on this matter, because the way I have been treat and left like this is unprofessional and damm right disregard for there patients, but funny thing is they wouldn’t bat a eyelid if I was a private paying customer,

Needed an emergency appointment for abscess and antibiotics- they saw me within a couple of hours even though I wasnt registered at the clinic. The receptionist was amazing with oodles of compassion who understood my predicament and certainly went above and beyond to accommodate me.

The dentist (NHS, despite people saying it is only private) explained everything that needed doing, showing me the x-rays. Very calm, professional. The hygienist is extremely patient with me (that isn't covered by NHS) and has worked wonders on my teeth. Actually don't mind going to the dentist now, which I never thought I'd say!

I have used dentist for years now, had a appointment for a cracked tooth and being in severe pain. After waiting 4 dayz for a "ermegency"appointment I Arrived 10 minutes late, i called reception to know i would be a little late as well but when I got there they had already "taken on another patient" so refused to see me. They then proceeded to say that I had 3 missed appointments and they couldn't see me anymore , one of the appointments in question was in 2003 when I was 9 years old so I was still a minor. They then forced me to go private and rebooked me for a week later. The attitude of the receptionist stunk until they knew I would pay private then it all changed. Would only reccomend this dentist if you go private as they will jump leaps and bounds for you, if you NHS your treated like a lower citizen. Managed to get another appointment booked in for a different dentist same day and half the price even on private. Would not reccomend and will also be telling family members who are private with this company to change surgery. Staff on reception couldn't care about you the only person that was nice to me and tried to explain it was the manager although I can't remember her name she's doing the practice some good but receptionists need to be trained in new attitude. Disgusting disregard for anyone they aren't making money from. Will be telling everyone I can in Bishops Stortford to stay away.

When i first went in before i could manage to say much i was struck by the “ we don’t take NHS patients” and the assumption that for some reason I couldn’t afford the service. I managed to book an appointment eventually followed by a series of failed contacts where they we’re insisting to talk over the phone instead of my preferred method: over the mail. Later on i found out why : they want payment on spot before the service is done. I went in i payed in full so i can move away from all of this insulting behaviour. The treatment itself was professionally done and executed with care, however because the circumstances have changed it didn’t costed as much as I initially payed upfront. Now i’m waiting to get the rest of the money back and the new treatment plan with not much luck.

Excellent service,was seen very quickly and treated professionally and with all aspects of the treatment explained Would thoroughly recommend the dentist if you are very nervous as they are really considerate if you have any concerns

As I have had a few appointments at the dentist over the last year, I very highly recommend them as I feel extremely comfortable going there, and the staff are extremely helpful and make my time there very comfortable, it’s actually a pleasure going to the dentist, which I never thought I would ever say.

Really great practice, I’ve been with them for well over a decade. Always friendly and courteous, I saw Nikesh on this occasion. What a lovely chap he is. So thorough in his examination, more than ive been used to.

I have been visiting the hygienist here and cannot recommend highly enough. Any nerves are eased immediately. Friendly and relaxed and most important of all a great service.
