Review titled Standard service, rude staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 September 2024
Previously I've had appointments with this practice and it was never too bad – but never too good either. The kindest opinion about it could be that you won't be picked up in an ambulance. I'm recovering from cancer and need to have a dental hygiene, so after finalising my treatment I called them to book a long overdue session and ask the price. The lady on the telephone said it costs £80 when the NHS website says it's £26.80; she did not treat me fairly for making her notice that, nor correct any mistaken information or even give me a reason. Needless to say this is what I needed to run for the hills – private dentistry is not that far off that price and at least they are not going to make fun of you for being unwilling to pay their price.

Review titled Unpleasant dentist
Rated 1 star out of 5

Worst experience with a dentist. I have been going to this dentist for years as a paying NHS customer and have been treated unfairly by a dentist. I had an appointment that I traveled two hours for and didn't get the treatment I needed. Despite specifying the treatment I wanted and booking an appointment for it, she did not provide the requested treatment and insisted on a cheaper version. Additionally, she never kept my appointments on time, even though I arrived early each time. I then made another appointment, but when my name was called, I was told she called another woman who had an appointment earlier than mine, but it was during my appointment time. The dentist has a strict 15-minute late policy, and I received no justification for why I didn't receive my treatment at the time of my appointment.

Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by A N M A SALIM KHAN - Posted on 12 June 2024
The doctor I see is a passionate person who treats patients in a human way with a combination of excellent skills mixed with a human touch. This in his distinctive competence as a doctor who understands the needs of care of a person and its urgency when something has happened which needs urgent attention. He has left me highly impressed with his service that will leave an indelible mark on me in the years to come. He is truly outstanding. His combination of dentistry skill and human touch deserve special mention. I wish him a highly successful career in the years ahead.

Review titled Disappointed 0/10
Rated 1 star out of 5

Recently I went as a filling was removed from my tooth. I experienced rudeness from the receptionist when I called to book an appointment. On the day of the appointment the dentist was really aggressive in her answers to me and she wanted to extract my tooth as it couldn't be saved (but it survived a filling for ten years). When I asked her to put a filling even a temporary one, she refused. I asked her to do a service that I paid and she refused!!! Then she wanted me to do a deep cleaning for £80 and I refused stating that it is included in the band 1 payment I have paid. Her treatment in total was for less than 10 minutes. Very disappointing service from everyone in the dental care.

Review titled That one receptionist who knows who she is
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Honestly, having been with this practice for over a decade now, I genuinely cannot believe how this one receptionist here has not only kept her job all this time but has been promoted, multiple times. She wins the trophy for most aggressive and genuinely threatening receptionist i have ever seen. The way she talks to people is simply unacceptable in modern society let alone at a medical institution of this size. She is so unprofessional I can't find the words to describe her. The rest of the saff are exemplary but this one girl is on a mission to bring down this place. I am sure the practice is aware of this because its so obvious. Probably keeping her as the NHS are so weak to discipline anyone really. Due to her Ive left this surgery now and chosen to go private where I am not treated like a piece of dirt. You call trying to book an appointment and she makes you feel like you are about to ask for time with the King of England's and very uncurteously so. And then if you take more than 2 or 3 seconds to think, because the appointments are always two months from now, she tells you to make up your mind or hold (which can be around another 20 mns after having waited 30 mins already). It's hilarious and sad. I feel sad for the elderly who can't even process this kind of speed even if they wanted. Real shame the service is so poor.

Review titled Extremely rude receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 March 2023
I am a support worker and called on behalf of a vulnerable client. The receptionist was extremely rude in regards to my client having missed a couple of appointments, she said that my client has 'wasted our time'. This is extremely rude and unnecessary and did not consider why someone may have missed appointments. Really disappointed in the service and lack of awareness to people's vulnerabilities.

They were very kind, patient, and professional with me. I hadn't been to the dentist in many years and they didn't make me feel ashamed at all but were very welcoming and lovely.
