Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Patricia - Posted on 09 October 2024
Recently had an appointment for a checkup. Receptionist friendly and helpful. The dentist was caring and understood my needs. Explained everything clearly. My appointment was on time. I will say this has not always been the case with this surgery. Hopefully it is on the up.

Review titled No customer care!
Rated 1 star out of 5

Like others, over the course of several years as an NHS patient with this practice, my appointments were cancelled by the practice several times on the run and rarely saw the same dentist twice. I then had to cancel an appointment because I was unwell so rang to advise and left two messages as nobody answered the phone (the only appointment I have ever missed). When I rang to rebook, was advised I’d been removed from their list for failing to attend. Asked the Practice Manager to investigate and was told they had ‘found’ my messages (why had nobody checked the answerphone before then?!) and I could stay on their list. No apology or explanation. Decided to change to a private practice as would rather pay for a good service than be made to feel grateful for a poor one. Some really good staff but sadly others who seem to consider patients as an inconvenience.

They cancelled appointments for myself and children to then be told we have been removed from the NHS list as we didn't show to appointments they cancelled. Then offered private dental care at double the price of other dentists. The company should be ashamed

I had a hygiene appointment today. s.a dentist and h.e nurse were absolutely brilliant. h.e put into perspective that it’s all about technique and s.a was very reassuring and gentle. Keep up the great work guys! You make an amazing team.

Review titled Unequitable Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice recurrently cancel appointments. My children have not seen a dentist in over 18 months. Another short notice cancelation today - re-booked for the 4th time! The service is unequitable for NHS patients. They favour private clients. Previously, staff allowed me to call for an emergency appointment for over a month before telling me took me off as an NHS patient, because I hadn't booked an appointment. Staff failed to offer me an appointment in time of dental need, due to wanting to reduce their NHS patients! Disgusting approach to customer care. I couldn't think of a worse place to work- I think the whole practice is corrupt.

Review titled Bad experience
Rated 1 star out of 5

Very bad experience. I had a treatment of several fillings here, the treatment was completely unsatisfactory and left me with an uneven bite and jagged residue all over the sides of my teeth causing inflammation on my gums. I had to go to another local dentist to get the work polished and fixed. After complaining and asking for the cost of the fixing work to be covered, the manager told me this is 'unfair' on the company, although I think its unfair for a customer to pay £600+ for unsatisfactory dental work that should have been completed to a high standard on the day. Moreover, the treatment itself felt very rough and rushed, and with a lack of good communication. I do not usually complain, but this was a bad experience and I would absolutely not recommend this dental practice.

Review titled Rude profit over people
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Dexter - Posted on 23 February 2024
Disgusting attitudes I get sent here as I am.new in the area as a emergency, I have a wisdom tooth pressing on another tooth that's caused a abcess. I arrive and approach the receptionist who blasts out. Are you paying for the treatment, or are you nhs! Talk about embarrassing, especially as the waiting room was full. I explained that I am new to the area, so I was looking for a dentist, then she shoved an I pad in my face and asked me to tick my current illnesses, it was demoralising to.say the least. I was unfortunate enough to then see djl as soon as I walk in she informs me.that my previous dental work by the NHS is so bad and that they use the cheapest materials. I was taken back by this.she then further adds that they will not help me with my wisdom tooth or abcess basically unless I sign up privately with them and she goes into hard sale mode and tells me that her boss is like a god dentist amd that he's the best in the area ect ect He can do the work by the way but basically only of you go private with us. Keeping in mind I am in mega pain and need a tooth extraction , she tells me that they won't be able to help me unless I phone up 111 amd go through the whole reveral procedure 3 times. In a nutt shell they need to milk 3 payments from the NHS out of me before they can even help me, I was then stood up and had another ipad shoved in my face and told to sign here. This place is a disgraceful so called dentist talk about profit over people at its finest. Funny thing is I have called the 11 services 4 times now and I have only just gotten through 2 weeks on from the embarrassing visit here, oh amd I will add that the 111 NHS nurse told me that they should of helped me and that calling 3 times is.the exact thig that has put the stress on the NHS and that orcourse I need help as I am suffering. All in all the staff are rude and inconsiderate especially djl who bad mouths the NHS and is a foreigner who probably uses it when she's feeling poorly I am sure. I would not go here ever again I would rather have pain and let my teeth fall out. Disgusting money driven place.
