    Visited dentaline for an emergency appointment and they made some temporary fixes however gave a list of numbers to phone dentists that are taking on new patients as they advised an emergency appointment at a dentist due to needing more severe work that cannot be done out of hours. I phoned this dentist to be greeted by an uncalled for rude receptionist. People should not be in a patient facing role if they have no empathy or compassion towards others. I have written a complaint to the ICB as I can’t imagine how they must speak to the elderly or vulnerable people.

    Good morning, on listening to the call, the receptionist was simply relaying the protocol for new NHS appointments or emergency appointments. We strive to provide the best possible service to new and existing patients and have been accommodating new/emergency appointments for over 2 years. The feedback we receive is of a positive nature. We endeavour to see as many emergency patients as we can, and treat patients fairly in allocating appointments. Our priority is patient wellbeing, and we see as many patients as we capably can to keep up with the demand in NHS dentistry.

    I’ve had to change practices as phones are never answered or messages responded to. I had to book follow up treatment but have been in unable to get through to do so. Ive left answer phone messages as per the instructions. I’ve now reached a point of giving up and have gone elsewhere. I think the practice has taken on too many new patients resulting in poor service.
