Only discovered on NHS app I have been diagnosed with a significant condition. The letter from the hospital I wasn’t copied into advised dr to give education, action plan and prescription going back to over a month ago. I can only presume it was filed without a doctor seeing it.

I’m sorry that you have come to learn about a significant diagnosis in this way. This is made possible with the recent advent of direct access to medical records. We have a multi-stage process for processing hospital letters, and we are keen to find out exactly what has happened with your letter. Please contact us directly, so we can investigate this. We would also like to add that if a hospital has made a diagnosis, it would be the usual process for the hospital to contact you to explain the diagnosis and other details. The lines are simply not open at 8, they aren’t even open at 8:10. It usually ranges between 8:15 onwards. Today it was the worst it’s ever been, the lines were not open till 8:26. The later it becomes the less of a chance there are any appointments left, which makes no sense since how could the slots for the day been filled if no one is on the phones, if the lines are closed, if there’s no option to hold? I called every minute on the minute this morning from 8 am onwards because I know what the situation is with this practice and even through I made over 59 attempted calls, and only got through to someone after lines opened at 8:26 and was holding for 4 minutes, I was informed there were no slots left and was simply sent an SMS to fill a form out. This is insane, the are no words left. I have no idea what my options are moving forward because access to healthcare via my local GP is abysmal and it’s only getting worse.

I sent off 2 e consult forms online with a successful reference number on Thursday and no phone call back stated on the Friday 4th November 2022. No phone call got told to do all my forms again resulting me to do 4 forms to be seen and rude reception staff over the phone! They need training
