    Recently took my mum for her asthma appointment to get a £100 fine for parking at the surgery... what a disgrace....no letter or phone call to say this new money making enterprise was put in place

    Hi Vicky Unfortunately we had to introduce the car parking monitoring in October 2023, as have other local practices, due to people abusing the car park and going elsewhere. The practice receives no monies for this, it is purely to help prevent people using the car park when they do not have an appointment at the practice. There are numerous signs in the car park which were provided and installed by the company when it went live and we did put notifications on the Facebook page and posters in the practice.

    I think it would be easier if the clinic enabled the on-line booking of appointments - at the moment it is disabled. I 'phoned to make an appointment on a Monday morning. It took three minutes just to get into the 'phone queue. Then it took over 34 minutes to get through to the receptionist. There is only room for four people in the queue, so it was taking about 10 minutes per person! Another time I called, and, when I got to the front of the queue, I was just disconnected - so I think they're having trouble dealing with the workload. If they activated the on-line service, it would be quicker for patients, and less work for receptionist.

    Apologies for the delay in replying. Online booking has been enabled again for GP appointments. If you are still having difficulties, please contact us and we will look into this for you. We also have a new telephone system which now allows you to have a call back rather than waiting in the queue. Hope this helps Kind regards Alison
