  1. Review titled Receptionist attitude

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Dawn McPhee - Posted on 24 May 2024

Asked if I could speak with Dr when available. Told “I can’t do that” several times. Needed advice about medication that had run out on behalf of my 91 year old Stepmother and whether it was important. Receptionist refused to take a message for me and had a dreadful, unhelpful attitude. This isn’t the first time we have had such a bad experience with this surgery and so decided we wouldn’t let it go again. I had a very “jobsworth” response from the particular Receptionist I spoke to. She has an air of superiority and seemed to enjoy telling me “no” when I asked to speak with the doctor. Unbelievable that someone in this role has such a lack of compassion or empathy. This incident occurred around 1pm on 24th May. I am happy for you to play the recording to get an idea of what took place. My name is Dawn.

  2. Review titled Good Treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The nurse here is very kind. She helped me with my B12 shots. She made sure that I was comfortable and mentioned all the Side effects of the injections. I would definitely recommend this GP. People sometimes don’t understand that Nurses and Doctors are humans too and they need some appreciation for they do. Thank you so much 🌟

  3. Review titled Would not recommend / terrible practise

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2023

This surgery has put in so many processes to stop patients getting through to the doctor and delay prescribing of prescriptions they should actually be held account but the local health authority. Again delaying tactics when letters are sent from Hospital consultants asking them to provide a service. Excuses when asked to provide prescriptions. Providing them too late to be filled. Saying you are on the list when you are not on it at all. They refer you to patch service but then close that after 2 mins of opening. Phone rings without being answered. Many different ways of stopping you getting through but happy to take on patients. Where does the nhs money go? Shameful.

Dear patient, We feel we need to respond to your comments as as a practice we strive on a daily basis to meet the needs of our patients in a timely and safe manner. As you have not given a specific details of your bad experience with the practice we can only respond to your issues in a generic manner We receive many hospital letters as well as other communications. Thus hospital communication takes up to 3 weeks to go through the practice work flow process Hospitals are therefore aware if anything needs urgent action they should facilitate this, for example by providing 4 weeks of prescriptions if they are deemed to be urgent otherwise advising the patient that a delay in starting is acceptable. You may not be aware we have a new phone provider for the last 6 weeks. All response times are recorded and we have a 3 min average response time. We have had some very good feedback form patients regarding the phone response time. As regards Patches and stating you are on a list , I would be grateful if you would approach one of the partners with the specifics of this. We take this very seriously and would like to investigate this incident further. Patches is just one mode of access ,therefore the numbers on this have to be limited. Kind Regards Management Team

  7. Review titled Bad practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Appointments are made quickly, however waiting times are ridiculous. Over an hour long every time stuck in a badly ventilated and hot waiting area. Would be beneficial if appointment slots were made longer to prevent delays or if patients were phoned so they arrive later as this is stupid, I have had 4 appointments recently and all have had an hour delay.
