I haven’t always had a good experience but recently I have had consistent contact with a GP about menopause and having the same point of contact has been amazing. I am managing to see this GP and feel listened to. I am frustrated by waiting lists for access to help such as a Psychiatrist .

Felt welcomed today by the receptionist treated very nicely and kindly. The GP i saw today was very kind he listened to me he was very patient.

I have been with this practice for over 25 years and experienced the care shown by all staff whether reception or medical. Most recently so impressed with doctor who followed up personally from a surgery visit to ensure that the medications had been effective and longer term I was screened for another condition. This practice has a real care for patients as people and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I had a distressing experience at your medical practice regarding access to my treatment. Despite suffering from severe back pain and seeking medical assistance, I ran out of diazepam and was left in extreme pain. I tried contacting your practice for a repeat prescription but faced difficulties reaching anyone. The receptionists provided conflicting instructions and suggested calling the GP overflow number, which yielded no available appointments. After attempting to speak with a doctor, I was advised to call 111 and speak to a pharmacist, who refused to provide the prescription. Upon returning to the practice, I was informed that no one could see or speak with me. It is concerning that my physical condition and urgency were not assessed, especially considering the severity of my pain. The current system hinders patient access to treatment and medication. I hope steps can be taken to improve the system and ensure prompt care for patients in need.

After 3 calls got through, told to attend to pick up paperwork and book blood test. Asked to return separate from blood test to deliver other sample. Turned up, queued up, found out no blood test booked, did it again. If not mentioned by me, I’d have turned up to a blood test that wasn’t happening. More time spent asking me to fill in this survey, and chatting about their new running habit than spent actually booking in. A shambles of automated phone services, poor interpersonal communication and queues.

I got a call from the surgery within an hour of request, and an appointment a couple of hours later. The Dr was pleasant and thorough.

Had my regular cervical screening, the receptionists were very helpful with scheduling, and the nurse I saw put me completely at ease and spent time explaining the process and next steps. I always feel cared for when I need anything from the team at Addison Road and appreciate the clarity of their communication. Thank you!

Check in was easy on a screen on arrival and everything was well signposted. The nurse who did my cervical screening was excellent, and made me feel so at ease and calm. She was also so friendly and welcoming. The receptionist at the end was helpful, as I asked a question on the way out. Wasn’t seen at the time of my appointment (about 15 mins late) but had factored time in for that so wasn’t an issue.

Fantastic service - I applied to change GPs and join the practice on a Saturday, and had my registration confirmed on a Sunday within 24 hours. I then used the online reception to request an appointment and input details of my symptoms the following morning, received a call back within two hours and was able to see a GP that morning, who was friendly and very helpful.

Had a 'sensitive' test and was dreading it but the nurse was absolutely excellent in her informative and sensitive performance of the procedure and all it entailed. It was almost enjoyable! At least, meeting her was. Fabulous and such a credit to our wonderful NHS.
