  1. Review titled Extremely Poor Service and Lack of Professionalism

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Vera Botelho - Posted on 02 February 2025

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this GP practice. Getting an appointment is a nightmare, often requiring over 45 minutes of waiting on the phone just to speak with the reception team. Even when I have been advised by a consultant to have a face-to-face appointment, I have not been able to see a GP in person—I haven’t seen my doctor in over a year. The level of professionalism is also concerning. I once had a stomach examination, but I never received any follow-up from the GP. A year later, I had to be hospitalised as an emergency due to severe stomach issues. It was only then that I discovered my GP had identified a problem in my previous exams and that I was supposed to be referred to a specialist, but they had completely failed to follow up. Additionally, I have experienced medication changes without proper assessment. Despite being prescribed medication by a specialist, my GP decided to change it without even discussing my symptoms or conducting an evaluation—simply because they “thought” it would be a better option. This level of care is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this GP practice to anyone who needs timely, professional, and competent medical attention.

  2. Review titled appointments

filled in the e consultant 09/07/2024 got a text message saying i will be rang on the 26th July so i rang asking if they had anything sooner with a different GP as my GP only works part time nothing only on the same date which is absolutely pathetic as you need to book in 2 or 3 weeks in advance to see a gp as not everyone has a crystal ball to know when they are going to be ill i think the gp's should all go back to work and stop hiding behind covid the world has gone back to normal apart from gp's they want the big wages but on less hours its becoming a joke

  3. Review titled Excellent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have recently had a period of poor health and have been under the primary care of Adelaide Medical Centre Andover. I have had excellent care ranging from welcoming reception staff who have got me urgent appointments to weekly calls when needed . I have never felt rushed and have always been listened too.I know the service is stretched but I can honestly say my GPs who I am unable to name here have been exceptional.I can’t praise them enough .My journey has felt very tough at times. The nursing staff are welcoming and go out of there way to help..So big thank you to you all A credit to the NHS Jo
