My wife recently had surgery to remove a cancerous growth on her forehead Whilst the operation went well, the wound became infected and the stitch removal was delayed by 3 days, whilst being offered antibiotics to bring the infection down After the stitches were removed at the Manor Practice She went to see the pharmacist to get advice on why the infection was persisting who duly told her to get an appointment with a doctor at the Manor Practice this she did, but was told she couldn’t make an appointment in person, only by phone My wife showed the receptionist the angry, red, hot wound The receptionist said”looks ok to me” Not sure what qualification the receptionist has to make this statement After a further request by phone the same afternoon and no appointment offered, another triage phone discussion, another dose of antibiotics were offered and taken Following all of this, and another visit to the pharmacist, his recommendation was for her to go to the walk in centre at Brighton Station After a two hour wait to see a doctor , given assurances that it was going in the direction we just wonder why the Manor Practice refuses to see patients and continually fob people off, hiding behind an unqualified receptionist who is probably good at her job, but not qualified to offer advice We look forward to receiving a response to this and will pursue at a higher level going forward having taken legal advice. We look forward to hearing from you.

My husband was acutely unwell whilst the phone lines were off, I dropped in to the surgery and the receptionist was very helpful, and went and spoke to the GP. I was advised to bring him down 20 minutes later. GP was very thorougher and explained her findings and treatments, (which she wrote down as there were a few) suggestions.) Couldn't have asked for better. Thank you
