We both attended the practice for a vaccination and the nurse who dealt with us was excellent, very courteous, informative, proficient and friendly.

I have not always been kind about this surgery particularly when it comes to getting appointments. I must take back all previous negative comments after the service we received yesterday (2nd July) from everybody from the receptionist, the nurse through to the GP. I can only say that the comments were made in the heat of the moment having experienced a recent unfortunate medical emergency. The surgery team came together to assist my wife when she had a heart issue during an appointment and as a result prevented what could have been a tragedy further down the line. I can only offer my sincere thanks to everybody involved. So grateful !! It only remains for me to try to have my earlier negative review withdrawn.

It was a pleasurable experience today to obtain a GP appointment on the actual day I booked it. However, having arrived ahead of time for a 1.45pm appointment, I finally left the surgery at 2.10pm, still waiting to be called in by the GP with no communication as to the delay or how long it might last. On reporting the delay to reception, they had no idea why the delay had occured and could offer no advice as to how long I might be kept waiting. Like GP's, many patients are on a time schedule with their professions or domestic commitments. If a patient has the courtesy to arrive and register for an appointment on time, the surgery surely should return that courtesy by advising if there is likely to be a delay and how long that delay might last. It is understood that emergencies do arise however some consideration might be offered to patients who are kept waiting as a result.

According to our IT system's audit trail, you left at 2:00 PM after speaking with the receptionist. The GP was attending to a complex patient but called you at 2:01 PM and also contacted reception to check your whereabouts. We understand that sometimes patient appointments can run longer than expected, and clinicians may not always be able to inform reception immediately due to their commitment to patient care. We appreciate your understanding in these situations; your time is important to us. Your feedback is valuable, and we will work to improve our communication and service to ensure a better experience for all our patients. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm 78 and moved to Southport in 20006. I've previously moved around a lot and this is absolutely the best practice I've ever used! The receptionists, the doctors, and the nurse are all friendly, helpful and very efficient. I had a heart attack a couple of years ago and they got a pacemaker implanted in me which has kept me feeling well. They also automatically arrange an annual review, and the nurse who conducts this is of the same high caliber. I know they are very busy, but they always find the time to see how they can help. Today I got a text asking me to contact them to arrange this year's review. Although she was very busy, when I phoned the receptionist took the time to ensure I was currently well, and found me a time for the review. I cannot praise this surgery enough. Some years ago I went with stomach pains. The doctor not only diagnosed appendicitis but also took me to the hospital himself, and he ensured the staff there were aware of what was wrong, and that I needed urgent treatment. I cannot praise their dedication and effectiveness enough. I'd just like to offer them all a heartfelt thank you.

I moved up her from Essex and before moving was unwell and in hospital for a month since moving up here the doctor and reception team have been fantastic in looking after me i have received such great care and attention from such a fantastic team if everywhere was like this there would not be a problem with the NHS heath service
