Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 June 2024
Needed an appointment and was directed to Anima Health to make a request, the helpful receptionist set up an account for me and asked a number of questions regarding my issue, then explained I could make future requests online. Though I felt uncomfortable, they were kind and listened to what I had to say. Recieved a phonecall from a doctor within an hour who listened and offered advice and a face to face appointment later that day if I wanted it - which I declined as I felt it was not needed. A prescription was ready to collect within an hour. Not sure if it's the new booking system or something else, but a much improved service from my past experiences. Thank you to all the team at Albany House!

Review titled Exasperated & Worried !
Rated 3 stars out of 5

When looking at my test results on "Systems on Line", I'm very concerned that some comments from results are worrying but no one rings to explain them or they are inconclusive and need further action, despite my patient record showing they have contacted me. nit true ! I have had a couple of hospital scans for a pain I have (still) but these were inconclusive, but I still have the pain. Results say "No further action". How can this be so with no follow up? I'm in a lot of pain still but it's impossible to get an appointment when you are 47 in the Q only to be told when you finally get through that there no appointments left! On my last recent blood test result (November 2023) I was messaged to say could I please make a 10 minute telephone appointment. This I did and was told the next available one was a month away (late December 2023). It took the receptionist 5 minutes to find one, half of that time could have dealt with a conversation I could of had with the person who asked me to make that appointment, which I believe was due to blood test results for my kidneys. Now I have a worrying month to wait for a paltry 10 minute conversation over the phone. Not acceptable and certainly not right. And a few months ago I asked a receptionist if I could have the shingles jab but udely was told not until I was 70 which is in December, despite all the advertising on posters in the wIting room and on TV actively encouraging us and being entitled to the jab before the age of 70. I'm not one for confrontation but all this negativity leaves me stressed and worried about my ongoing health issues. A bit of compassion and sensitivity would not go amiss with receptionists either. Not once but on several occasions I've waited in the phone and been told I was number 7( or whatever number) then go down to 6, then back to 7!!! How does that work? One one occasion I took the option to "keep my place in the queue and get a call back" I was number 9 in the queue at the time, 90 minutes later I received the call back!! Im now looking for a new surgery.
