  1. Review titled Great practice

Consistently good care and helpful practice manager. When so many people complain that they can't see their GP for weeks, I have always found an appointment in person.

  2. Review titled Apalling practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

The standard of service from this practice is appalling. Long waits on the phone, often rude response from receptionists and last time was told to phone back. Long wait to get doctors appointment, often not able to speak to a doctor who has any knowledge of my medical history and appointment seems rushed and I was not being listened to. So sad as this used to be an excellent practice.

I am sorry to hear of your experience of our practice. We recognise that we are short of staff, due to relocation and COVID isolation/sickness. We have had to use some locums (who have worked in the practice before) to help fill some of our rota gaps but there are days when they are not available. We have though successfully recruited new GPs and administrative staff from August, so would hope things improve soon. There are long waits to speak to our duty doctor, and we ask patients who do not have urgent problems, to call back outside this triage times (8:30-10 and 15:00-16:00). We have installed a new phone system that allows a "queue buster" call back system once you reach 10th in the queue. I am sorry your interaction with our reception team was poor, if you can recall the time and date and inform us, then we can listen back for training purposes. The GPs have moved to 15-minute face to face appointments, so it is disappointing to hear that you were rushed and not listened to. We shall feed this back at our next team meeting. It would be helpful to get more identifiable details from you, so we can feed it back to the individual clinician. The GPs have annual external appraisals so your concerns would be followed up there.
