  1. Review titled What has happened to Alcester medical group?

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been a patient here for over 20 years, and I can say, I have been totally happy with the service and care provided. However the last two months have made me start to change lol my Medical practice. There appears to be no flexibility in the practice anymore. There are extremely difficult Systems to book an appointment or a repeat prescription if you cannot use a computer or a telephone, then you can’t have an appointment. Many of the patient coordinators are like robots, and will not offer any help or support whatsoever, and if you question this, someone else comes on the line and inevitably puts the phone down on you. I have requested information regarding reasonable adjustment for disabled people and was given a training module which the staff use. I have also requested a meeting with the practice manager, one week, ago, but no correspondence or appointment made. What has happened? This is all extremely difficult for patients. And very disappointing.

I was very nervous about going to Drs , the Dr I was seen by was fantastic both myself and my husband came out and said what a very caring and kind person, made us feel at ease instantly and listened to what I had to say and acted on it straight away , definitely the best experience ever

  4. Review titled Impossible to Get Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Chris Hanak - Posted on 23 October 2023

You have to fill out multiple pages (39!!!) of information online to be able to book an appointment on the day - by the time you've finished - inevitably get no appointments available. You are then told you can only get an appointment in an emergency or you can try again tomorrow (where you can expect the same results). Worst thing is you have to fill in the 39 pages again! I've never heard of any other GP who use a process as awful as this. They make it clear they don't want to see their patients. The booking system is clearly designed to just make people give up.

  5. Review titled Reassuring experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had to see a paramedic at the surgery with regard to chest pain, which was also causing anxiety. However I walked out of my appointment feeling much less anxious and reassured about my symptoms. I felt I was given the time to talk and really listened to. Thank you!

  6. Review titled Substandard service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Carmine Cioffi - Posted on 14 September 2023

Impossible to book an appointment. I have called to explain my issue but because it wasn't the working day of my GP they told me to call back when the doctor is in or go on line an use the e-Consult. I filled the e-Consult form and it came back saying it can't asses me because based on my answers I need to talk to the GP. I called the surgery to say what happen but still get the same reply, call back when the doctor is in. Calling back is not my problem, what really distress me is the process to book. You have to call from 8am and raise with all the other patients to get a spot and if all the spot of the day are taken then you have to call back on the next day (when your GP is in) and start the raise again. This is really mental, there are no words to describe how bad we have allowed the NHS to get to.

  7. Review titled Appointment process

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Shaun Robinson - Posted on 19 May 2023

Today 19th May i tried to make an appointment for a health check up,it is not an emergency so thought this would be a simple process to be seen some date in future,no this surgery only takes emergency cases but all emergency appointments are booked for w/c 22/5/23,was advised by patient coordinator to call back on 29/5 not before. Also i had diabetes review booked for 20/4 this was cancelled by surgery rearranged for 2/5 with telephone follow up with diabetes nurse on 19/5,this was subsequently cancelled by surgery, rebooked for 1/6,4 weeks after review and 12 weeks after a text from surgery asking me to make the original appt which was then cancelled Thankfully i am not vulnerable, elderly or infirm how do these people handle this sort of situation. What is going on
