Review titled Thank you Alchester and 111
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just want to say a huge thank you to both 111 service and Alchester Medical Practice. I had to make an emergency call to 111 after horrific pain and bleeding in my ear, quite worrying. I spoke to a few clinical staff and a doctor from The Horton, Banbury. Difficult to talk or hear too, I’ve lost my voice due to cold virus. Called first thing and saw a doctor who prescribed medication so thank you all. I know difficult times but lots of us appreciate what you do

Review titled Appalling GP practice

Felt unwell for three weeks with stomach issues. Am lucky enough to have access to a private GP (via video) through work and hoped I wouldn't have to trouble my doctor (I seldom need to go). My heart sunk when they told me I would have to speak to my own GP, as my symptoms were more serious and need to be checked in person. Made to feel like I shouldn't be asking for an appointment when I called (17 people in the queue in front of me. The patient triage was just horrible. Good luck trying to get an appointment if you are elderly or have a sick child. As yet, I've not received a call from a GP so it looks like 'll have to call 111. I hope my issues are not serious as I will raise a formal complaint. I have every sympathy for the NHS, but there's got be a better way of looking after people.

Cannot walk in to make an appointment how ridiculous. you either have to make an e-consult which 9/10 gets sent back as they changed it from doing it the night before you needed an appointment to doing on the day so you have to do it 3+ times instead of once which takes ages. If you call in your In a que for at least half an hour then you could get cut off and start again. We need to be able to get an appointment at the desk how on earth do the elderly get an appointment if they struggle to use the phone and can’t get online I’ll never know, a ridiculous system.
