Review titled Contact problems for minor queries
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Georgiana Allen - Posted on 21 March 2025
I wanted to ask you to specify the make of eyedrops on my prescription. The current prescription is Lantanaprost and up to now from Pharmacy 2U I have had Xalatan but last time they sent me something that needs to be kept in the fridge and as it comes by post this doesn't seem a good idea. They have said I need to ask the practice to specify a make. I haven't been able to work out a way to do this. Telephone says use the internet . I seem to be sent around in loops whenever I try this. Is it completely impossible to have a clearer route such as an email address to contact you

Review titled Good service
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I would like to let you know what a good service I received. I couldn’t find the group I needed on the econsult so rang the surgery. Within an hour I had received a call back and an appointment the same day. As I am not the type of person to contact the surgery unnecessarily I really appreciated the service provided. Thankyou.

Review titled Great Nurse Practioner ld.
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Martin J Coulson - Posted on 27 February 2025
ld was excellent yesterday when my blood pressure was 220 over 120 or so. She saw me within minutes and then after careful consideration and a number of tests, consulted the DCH consultant and referred me straight away. In 40 minutes travelling I was then in A and E there. I could not speak too highly of her.

Review titled Exasperated
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I received a text message that a doctor wanted to speak to me (no ref who the Dr was or what it was about). I rang and spoke to the receptionist and explained I was on a flight and could I re-schedule. She said that she would speak to the booking team. I then received a curt text message from a GP saying the appointment still stands and cannot be changed, unless I give evidence of the issue. I was simply changing the date as I cannot make the date that they gave me (on a date that I didn’t choose). So I was just politely asking if it could be changed. I don’t understand why making appointments and getting access to healthcare is so difficult at this practice.

Review titled Very Impressive.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lance Ford - Posted on 23 December 2024
I called the practice and my call was answered in a surprisingly short time. The options on the telephone were easy to understand which helped to redirect me to the correct department. The lady that answered was very friendly and efficient, my situation and sickness was quickly understood. A clear explanation of how my query will be dealt with and as far as possible how long it will take. I was expecting at least an 1 hour wait before being able to speak to a doctor. The doctor called within 45 minutes. He too was very friendly, knowledgable and efficient and had been pre informed of my condition and requests. This speeded up his ability to prescribe medicine and diagnose my illness. 30 minutes later a prescription was ready for collection and the wait in the pharmacy minimal. It's wonderful that this was all possible via the telephone. I thank them all the very impressive service and pleasant interaction. Faultless!

Review titled Annual check up very good
Rated 5 stars out of 5

It was a pleasant experience at the centre. Firstly I took my own blood pressure, then promptly was seen by the nurse. I felt she asked questions and responded to my replies with real patient care

Waited 6+hours for a prescription that should have been ready for collection at 9.00hrs this morning, patient very unwell . Receptionist has no empathy when trying to chase getting the prescription signed . Apparently Doctor is busy seeing patients! What about the patient who us struggling at home trying to get answers from a bunch of faceless people hiding behind computer

Review titled Very good service.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris Pearson - Posted on 14 November 2024
Did an econsult on Wednesday and as a result spoke to a triage nurse who arranged for a phone appointment next day. Had the phone appointment where another appointment was made for a face to face. The appointment was made for Thursday. The system works well and is by far the easiest way to see a doctor. Thank you.

Review titled Not taken seriously
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 August 2024
After having 2 asthma attacks within 24 it is NHS standard practice to get a doctors appointment within the next 48 hours. We are now having to wait a full week as we were not taken seriously and even insulted for being in the presence of mixed chemicals which we did not mix. Also, the same person has failed to make a name change after marriage which happened over 4 months ago which has caused a few issues when getting prescriptions and such.

Review titled Very poor practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

After 2 econsults, 1 question from dr by text on a medium which didn’t accept replies and 1 phone call I finally saw a doctor. The practice have been asked to monitor an ‘abnormal’ blood test. I asked to arrange this and also asked what this meant. ‘I don’t know.’ No ‘let me find out for you’ . No ‘sorry’. Nothing. Resorted to Dr Google when I got home. It is an blood test used to monitor Myeloma apparently. I didn’t know this was an issue and would have appreciated a chance to discuss this with the people monitoring it. A bit worried that I will be relying on them to do this. This is not the first time I have been told that the doctor didn’t know what a test result means. Really? Something is wrong. Top tip - register somewhere else if you can.
