  1. Review titled Great nurses!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 July 2024

I visited the practice nurse for a blood test and she couldn’t have been more lovely. I am very scared of blood tests and she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. It was the easiest blood test I’ve ever had done. Thank you!

  2. Review titled Empathetic and Active in Equal Measure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Tony C - Posted on 16 July 2024

I recently moved to the area and joined the Urban Village Medical Practice to continue monitoring and medicating my Type II Diabetes. The changeover to a local pharmacy for my regular medication was handled seamlessly by the pharmacist, peace of mind from the outset. I had concerns about the monitoring of my diabetic stats but the pharmacist and practice nurse, C & K (not allowed to include names apparently), were both empathetic and active in equal measure, putting my mind at ease in no time at all, a huge thanks to both of you.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by James - Posted on 13 July 2024

I had a blood test appointment on Wednesday and the nurse who carried out the appointment was such a pleasure. She made me feel incredibly relaxed, comfortable, and welcome in the practice, and was happy to answer any questions. She had a lovely energy about her, was very fun(ny) to talk to, and truly made my day. Thank you!

  6. Review titled My shingles vaccination cancelled from the third time.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Still no appointment - Posted on 16 May 2024

My appointment for part two of my shingles vaccination has been cancelled for the third time. This time on the morning of the appointment (today 16/05/24) I have made arrangements to take time off for each of these cancelled appointments. I have now lost confidence in the practice and its ability to provide effective healthcare What is the point of national advertising campaigns on TV telling people over 70 to get the Shingles vaccination as a matter of urgency if you as my primary health care provider are incapable of delivery.

Dear patient, we are so sorry that you have been inconvenienced with the supply issues with the shingles vaccines. We understand how difficult it is to have 3 appointments moved or cancelled. We are waiting for our supply to arrive so that we can continue to vaccinate our patients who are at risk, the campaign has been so successful nationally that it has meant that stock is harder to get hold of locally. Again, we are sorry for your inconvenience Kay Keane Practice Manager

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience at Urban Village Medical Practice. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you have decided to leave our practice. We strive to provide the highest standard of care to all our patients, and it is disheartening to learn that we fell short in your case. Your feedback is invaluable to us as it helps us identify areas where we need to improve. Concerns Raised * Continuity of Care: We understand the importance of seeing a regular GP who is familiar with your medical history. We regret that you primarily saw locum doctors during your visits. We are actively working to improve continuity of care by increasing the availability of our regular GPs. * Referrals and Follow-Up Appointments: It is concerning to hear that your referrals and follow-up appointments were not adequately managed. We are reviewing our referral process to ensure that all follow-ups are tracked and actioned promptly. If you have any outstanding referrals or follow-ups, please contact us directly so we can address them immediately. * Blood Test Results: We apologise for any delays or lack of communication regarding your blood test results. 8. Review titled Reception do not listen

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Louise - Posted on 15 May 2024

Three times now I have felt unheard when I have spoken with reception. The first time I was told they had just returned from lunch so could I just call to book the blood test appointment, the second I was told to use the online form to book a blood test even though my doctor had already told me to book one, I had to say three times that my doctor had requested me to book one and the third time I received a text message saying to call if I have queries over the result of my blood test and I am told to use the online form. The tone is always unbothered also, no conversation, just cut off and told use the online form. It's frustrating as I cannot fault my doctor, but it feels like a battle getting passed reception.

Dear Louise, thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your experience at the practice today. This is not the way that we intend our team to deal with enquiries from our patients, we know how frustrating it can be being passed from place to place with different responses. Please be assured that we will use your review to work with the team on how best to engage with other patients in a similar situation. 9. Review titled Exceptiional service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Shaz Mufeez - Posted on 17 April 2024

I have had at least 5 plus different GP surgeries in the past, I just wanted to say I am super impressed with the service and care I get here, not "just from the GP" but also staff, I visited this morning (17/04/2024) and was sitting in the waiting area, after signing in at the machine, the receptionist, literally called me out by my name to say hi and ask how I am. I felt very special, this was at 9 am (17/04/2024) and she was super busy, she also said goodbye to another gentleman. I was also greeted by another staff who was walking past, he is super impressive and always says hi for a few seconds. I love the ease of contacting via forms, I know the doctor was very busy today but within minutes of filling out the form, she saw me face to face at 9 30 am. I wish all the other surgeries would follow this surgery examples. I remember in the past other GP's its impossible to get an appointment, you call sharp at 8 30 and keep getting busy signal, to be let down after they pick up and say all same day appointments are gone and go to walk in centre orA & E, all of them are not disabled friendly, not easyto walk inwhen they open and stand at window, they always sound like a parrot, but I have never ever had any issues here since 2018with this surgery, Patients App is brilliant for most needs, I never have to call and wait on hold, I can easily submit my blood pressure readings online. Super easy to get treatment and I get heard, it never a one way conversation with a doctor and I never get brushed off because other patients are waiting. I get an amazing care and treatment here.
