Review titled Walk-In
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2024
What utter cahos today at the surgery for the flu vaccine, why give people an appointment time and tell others just turn up for a walk-in. I turned up 10 minutes before my appointment time, only to find 200 people waiting for their flu vaccine. If I had stayed, it would have taken at least 3 hours. What a joke. On this experience, my advice would be go to the pharmacy in future.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your recent experience at our flu vaccine clinic was not up to your expectations. While Saturday was busier than anticipated, our team worked hard to ensure the process was as smooth as possible, most patients waiting no longer than fifteen minutes for their scheduled appointment. We do understand your frustration, especially with the combination of walk-in patients and those with pre-booked appointments, and we will certainly take this feedback on board to improve future clinics. Our team vaccinated over 1000 patients on Saturday, and we are proud of their hard work and dedication in giving up their weekend to support patients health needs. Regards, Deborah Lister Practice Manager

Review titled OK GP

I moved here from Ferrybridge and they have been brilliant up untill now friendly staff some doctors here I find rude and not helpful but most are OK can never get an appointment but it's like that anywhere you go. My concern is my medication I order my medication according to the NHS app and up untill now they have been issued with no problems but the past few times I have tried to order my medication they have refused them causing me to feel very anxious I don't understand why they have started doing this but they are giving the pharmacy team at my pharmacy no time to get my medication ready. So please ashgrove change the ordering dates on the NHS app according to the ordering times that ashgrove do because it's very confusing and get me upset because it's making me feeling like I am doing something wrong.

Dear patient, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your kind words about our friendly staff and acknowledge your concerns regarding the difficulty in getting appointments and issues with medication ordering. We understand the frustration caused by recent challenges you've experienced with ordering your medication through the NHS App. Please accept our apologises for any inconvenience and anxiety this may have caused you. Regarding your suggestion to align the ordering dates on the NHS App with our internal ordering times, we want to clarify that the NHS app is aligned with our system, and medication reissue dates are determined based on our practice policy to ensure patient safety. We aim to process medication requests within 48 hours of receiving them to allow sufficient time for preparation by the pharmacy team. We apologise for any confusion or upset caused by the discrepancy in timing. We take your feedback seriously, and we will continue to review our processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Kind regards, Deb Lister Practice Manager

On the phone for over 1 hour in the que, then the usual response, no appointments left try tomorrow, what a joke? This is continuous cycle of moral killing of the state of the NHS and a not fit for purpose doctors surgery.

Review titled It's a waste of words
Rated 1 star out of 5

Since January 9, I have been asking for a certificate that I can return to work and I am completely healthy. They keep making appointments for me by phone, which do not take place because the GP says he called but he doesn't know who he called because it wasn't me. All I had to do was write a sick note and send it in the app - 5 minutes of work. If you don't want to work, it's best to arrange telephone meetings with yourself.
