  1. Review titled The best GP practice in Manchester

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2025

After COVID, I went from being a fairly healthy individual to a not fairly healthy individual. I've struggled with a range of conditions as a result. I'm just extremely lucky that my GP practice is Ashcroft Surgery. Having been seen by most of the GPs there, I can confidently state that they are a lovely, professional, and first-class team. It is important to remember that your GP and their team often see you at your lowest point, and they are busy helping as many people as they can. I have always found them to be supportive and friendly. Just before Christmas, I was seen promptly. This morning I called again, and an hour later, I was able to speak with my GP. I grew up in a small town with a GP that knew my family and me. I never expected to find a GP in Manchester that would offer the same experience. Thank you to everyone at Ashcroft Surgery! Ryan

  2. Review titled Kind, helpful GP’s

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nicola Ridyard - Posted on 19 July 2024

I had a great experience on Thursday 18th July 2024 for a same day appointment. The dr listened to me and she was really helpful. I’ve had some really good experiences with this GP. Appointments for myself, my partner and my toddler have all been great. Wait times for non emergency on the day appointments are a little long, but that’s to be expected in the Uk at the moment. I but I’ve always been treated well and felt listened to at Ashcroft Surgery.

Thank you Nicola for taking the time to comment, it is appreciated. We are trying to reduce the waiting time for appointments, as we now have additional GPs at the Surgery.

  3. Review titled Poor public-facing staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2023

The medical care I have received at Ashcroft has been excellent. The reception staff, however, are poor. I have had multiple experiences in which they have been rude with myself, or I have witnessed them act rudely to other patients. There is a sense that all interactions are an inconvenience for them and that patients are to be battled with. This feedback comes after waiting over 15 minutes (1st in queue) to speak to a receptionist who was very rude to me once on the line. I write this feedback not for the sake of complaining, but the hope that the senior staff will see this and raise my concerns in the next staff meeting. It makes the practice seem indifferent and unprofessional.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you have felt the need to complain. Unfortunately I have only just been alerted to your comment. I hope that since your comment you have received a better service. Please may I ask in future if you are unhappy with a member of staff that you obtain their name and let me (Sandra Connell) know so we can address the issue. We are able to listen to the phone calls which may help.
