    I visit Aspen to book appointment after leaving hospital with heavy bleeding. I was in need to have some medication and consultation about next step in my treatment. Reception staff very rude and impolite offer me appointment after one month. No respect and zero compassion for sick and suffering people. I was send home without seeing GP and without any medication.

    I attended this session today. Attending this session profoundly impacted my understanding of diabetes.The session covered a range of important topics . One of the most enlightening parts of the session was the detailed explanation of the glycemic index and how different foods impact blood sugar levels.Overall, the prediabetic/diabetic education session was very insightful and empowering. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of diabetes and how to manage or prevent it. The comprehensive information, engaging presentation, and practical advice make it a valuable resource for both prediabetic and diabetic individuals.

    I had a blood test appointment and my nurse, was very caring, personable and professional. I suffer with severe anxiety and my nurse‘s bedside manner put me at ease and her technique allowed for my blood test to be carried out easily and as pain free as a blood test can be. I will be requesting this nurse again for any further blood tests. Please acknowledge my nurse today for the outstanding services she is providing, an excellent nurse.

    Today I phoned to book a doctor appointment. This took two hours and when I used another phone it said I was number 77 on the waiting list! Receptionist wanted to know all about my complaint when I eventually got through, which I did not want to give her. Receptionist are not medically qualified and any training that the practice reckon they give them, does not make them qualified. A patient should have the right to keep their medical conditions private if they wish to only discuss with a doctor and not be hounded by receptionists and their manager, who indicated it was ok for me to tell her everything as she wasn't a receptionist.....she was a manager! When I refused to tell her as well she said if I didn't tell her she would terminate my call, she then put the phone down on me when I said I only wanted to speak to a doctor. Unfortunately I have had a very bad experience with receptionists from this practice in the past. Where I went in with chest pains several years ago, the receptionist told other people I know that I had a heart attack....which I had not. People still ask me today about my so called heart attack! The amount of wasted time at this practice is astounding, one should just be able to see a GP, who should then be able to give a diagnosis....the clue is in the name really, General Practitioner. On the odd occasion a referral to a specialist is required that can be done quickly by the GP. To think that every doctor should specialise in only one ailment is ridiculous. What happens if the foot specialist goes on holiday.....heaven forbid, or the knee specialist goes off long term sick, utter chaos? The patient is best placed to know who they wish to see....not a receptionist. Yes you could ask to see a skin specialist, but it doesn't stop there....they want to know every little detail. I have given details in the past & when you see the doctor, they haven't got a clue why you want to see them, so exactly why they want this time wasting information that creates huge waiting times beggars belief. It is invasive and time wasting. Even when I eventually gave them a reason, they put me on hold for quarter of an hour to make me an appointment. I have been lied to, by a manager, from this practice before, and although I received an apology from a doctor, it leaves me with little confidence appertaining to confidentiality concerning the clerical team. For the manager put the phone down on an elderly man trying to book a doctor appointment, because he doesn't wish to reveal his private medical conditions to none medical staff, is nothing short of disgusting in my view.

    I am pregnant and trying to get hold of this surgery is impossible - on hold for 2hrs and still 30 in the queue, the issues are never resolved. The phone lines are never answered. You also can’t complain as they only accept hand delivered complaints to the main surgery. So many people in Gloucester must not be accessing the help they need.

    I would like to say thank you to Kelly in the nursing team at Aspen Medical Practice. She has been so kind and helpful during regular appointments to help my son with a surgery wound. She made appointments out of school hours to ensure my son didn't miss any more school time and she really went the extra mile to help his recovery and built up a great rapport with him during appointments. Thank you Kelly.

    Over 30 years of being needle phobic of having blood tests back & forth from Doctors to Hosp clinic. Within the last 6 weeks I've had to have another 2 more blood tests done at The Aspen Centre & can honestly say many thanks to one of the Phlebotomists, whom on both visits recently have not bruised my arm from the tests, made me feel at complete ease with her friendly, funny character & finally found someone who's made the tests pain free.
