I needed to make an appointment for my child to see a doctor. Yet again, there were no appointments available to see a GP at either Assarts Farm or Bilborough Medical Centre on any day or time over the next month (or however long they book up for) when I tried to make an appointment this week. This is often the case when I try to make an appointment for myself or children. I don't understand how a practice can continually be short staffed as its been like this for years. The person answering the phone was polite but unable to provide an opportunity to see a GP.

Dear Julie, Thank you for your Feedback, Firstly thank you for your lovely comment about the receptionist. Unfortunately we have been experience short staff issues for a while, it has been very hard to recruit we are trying our best to provide we can to our patients. we are constantly looking at our appointment system to find ways to improve it and make it easier for our patients, we do offer pre-bookable appointments, but these can get booked up quickly but we also offer appointments throughout the month, I am very sorry that you have experience this, I would be happy to discuss this further if you would like contact us on 01159292354 Many Thanks Kayleigh Practice Manager

My appointment time was changed without it being communicated to me, I was then offered another appointment in a weeks time with no apology, after I said I have already waited 3 weeks for my appointment and asked to speak to the manager I was inform she was the manager! I said it was not good enough that I not been informed by appointment had been changed and that I had not been notified and that I should not have to wait another week. The manager was rude and hung up on me. I am now left worried out my health and feeling like I need to find a new surgery.
