On the 15th of June Saturday I had booked two appointments to discuss two conditions. One problem which I discussed is re-current severe headaches which seem to be getting worse despite taking Over the counter pain relief and have been told they can't do a referral for a 'ct head scan' which I explained I have been previously told to monitor for any changes when younger. Due to the fact of not having a scan for several years and no notes on the system the GP keeps mentioning my headache are due to my stress/anxiety which I know is not the case. I was also told to have the scan done privately? The second problem I wanted to discuss is everytime I go on a flight my ears bleed with extreme pain. I traveled last week and again on the flight I had bleeding with unbearable pain. On the day of my appointment having booked two appointments I wanted to discuss the bleeding ear the GP told me to re-book another appointment when I had already booked two appointments one after the other? Want to know your process? Is it fair to get the patient to book another appointment? If my conditions gets worse over time and my Health is severely affected I will be contacting Attenborough Surgery about this.

My Gp has changed my life ,she has been not judgmental and has made me realise I need to deal with Health issues She is defintly the best GP this practise has had Excellent communication skills ,kind ,compassionate and understanding O am so please she is my GP

Hard to get an appointment Gave a physical examination rather than referral to get an mri Psi test count high but still couldn't get a mri Watford General asked for blood test but surgery refused to provide them The receptionist checked with a doctor who advised her that this should be done privately

Please stop allowing for your receptionists staff to act like doctors! My dad’s heart medication increased after going to the emergency. My mum went to the GP to update them so she gets them from the pharmacy. The receptionist staff kept arguing with my mum that she is wrong and that it’s not the medication. After they called the pharmacy to confirm that and acted like they said the same thing! Stupid receptionist staff that act like doctors and shouldn’t!!!! Worst Gp ever!

I have been a member of this practice for 25 years, it has grown from strength to strength and has supported myself and my wider family for many years. Today I accompanied my Mother to an appointment which was on a Saturday. The Receptionist today was helpful and informative. The appointments staff are always pleasant and will go the extra mile to help. Many of the Dr's here have served the community for years and grown with it which I feel is testament to it's success. I couldn't recommend this practice anymore. Well done to all the staff and long may it continue!

Writing on behalf of my special/ additional needs son. I have to give credit to this amazing practice, my son struggles with needles( it sets off his anxiety) but he was put at ease by the professional and patient Nurse at the Holywell surgery. The nurse was an absolute delight and she had the biggest welcoming smile on her face when she met him. She took her time to introduce herself , explain who she was to him, in-order to put him at ease ,gain his confidence , keep him calm and relaxed. Even though his doctor was present , the nurse made the blood test that he was in for as quick and pain free as possible (all the while praising and encouraging him), and it was over before he was even able to become distressed. It was genuinely the best experience for all the people involved including my special needs child.

It is wonderful to hear that our Nurse at Holywell Surgery was able to reassure and keep your son calm during his blood test appointment. We understand that some patients can find blood tests distressing. Attended surgery today for a number of issues, friendly receptionist, fantastic service and a very down to earth doctor who made me feel much better after our appointment.

I’ve tried to make an appointment with a doctor to talk about my blood test results because I haven’t been feeling well for only the receptionist to tell me that everything is normal and refusing to give me an appointment. The receptionist is not a doctor to make such decisions. I’m seeking advice from a professional not the receptionist to talk about my health. I’ve tried explaining that I’ve had blood tests done at a private clinic and that they’ve referred me to the GP so they can refer me to an endocrinologist for the receptionist to only mock me and not listen to what I need.

Rang the surgery 08:00hrs for an appointment and was offered one 09:30hrs the same day. GP examination was thorough and efficient, resulting in a referral to hospital for x-ray and blood analysis the same day. Excellent service.

I seen the today concerning coming off my HRT treatment as I have been on it for a while. She was so helpful and understanding she explained she was there to help me as I was very nervous about been taken of HRT. We decided together what would be best for me in the long run and if needed I can go back if things are not going well. Thank you so much.
