    I have a problem with the skin on my nose. The person I saw took photos, explained what would happen, the time frame etc. She texted me follow up plans and thereafter phoned me to discuss the subsequent referral and why it was being made. The whole process was quick and efficient. In the last 20 years me and my family have had amazing healthcare from the Axbridge surgery

    My trip to see the GP at Axbridge surgery today was really positive. From the very friendly and helpful reception team to the lovely GP, who I have seen previously. She is always so patient and understanding and I really felt like she had time for me, she listened and she answered all of my questions thoroughly. I left feeling very happy that my concerns had been acknowledged, understood and actioned.

    My appointment as part of the Long Term Condition Review was on time and the nurse was prepared for its purpose. My pulse and blood were taken and Helen gave an explanation of the reason for this. All done quickly and efficiently

    I took my blood pressure at home and it was pretty high. On Sunday night 9pm I entered my details into the Accurx system. Midday on Monday (3 working hours later!) I got a text from a doctor telling me I had a prescription for some medication, an appointment for a blood test that week and a follow up appointment the following Tuesday. Absolutely excellent service - well beyond my expectations. I’m a bit nervous of needles so I was slightly dreading the blood test but the practitioner was very kind and reassuring and so skilful in taking the blood I hardly noticed it was happening. Again, excellent ! Thank you.

    Attended for annual blood tests. This was done pleasantly and efficiently. 15 days later I have to assume I am completely fit as I have not been given any results. As for doctors' appointments, they are difficult to achieve, a year or so ago, a locum changed a drug and said I'd be summoned for a blood test to ensure it was ok. Recently I was told by another locum I would be referred to hospital. No news on either of those.

    I have spoken to this patient as soon as this review was read to clarify that he had been sent through feedback from his blood test via text, but that his phone was not working, and so patient has agreed to have his number removed so this does not happen again. Patient could not confirm that he was awaiting a referral and we could not see this in his notes. We always appreciate feedback, but would always invite specific feedback to be addressed direct to the Practice so that we can sort directly. Thankfully patient signed the review so I was able to immediately contact him. Celia Townend Practice Manager

    Great service when you can eventually see or speak to a doctor, but getting increasingly harder to get an appointment.

    We are sorry to hear that you felt it hard to get an appointment with us, as you will be aware patient demand is high, and we do triage all patient requests for appointments to ensure that those in most clinical lead are seen as priority. Celia Townend Practice Manager
