    Asked for an appointment to see a doctor - on arrival was sent to a nurse . I was never informed it would be the NP. Apparently there is a list of illnesses that the GP’s at this practice don’t deal with- only nurses do . This info should appear on the website ? Surely Patients should be told this when offered an appointment- “you’re not ill enough to see a Doctor as you have requested “.

    Dear Patient Our Care Navigators are trained to book our patients in with the most appropriate person. Our ANPs are highly qualified and can prescibe for many conditions. ANP appointments are 15 minutes compared to GP appointments of 10 minutes. Patients that have been referred to the ANP almost always give us very positive feedback.     Requested a phlebotomy appointment on 18/7 - next opening only on 12/8. Told to go to the hospital. It appears this practice need more phlebotomists.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your comment regarding our phlebotomy service. We are lucky enough to have retained a phlebotomy service in our Practice. Usually there isn't a 4 week wait for a blood test, however, we have been short staffed which can happen at this time of year. We have recently recruited a new member of the nursing team which will improve wait times. We are also extremely lucky to have a great phlebotomy service over the road at the hospital where a wait for a blood test may well be less during these very busy periods.     All staff excellent, except the gp, who was willing to stamp a letter, couldn't figure out how to use his laptop, then said he would charge £30 after previously agreeing to sign without charge. Very rude, condescending, lack of compassion towards pregnant partner. Should not be dealing with public with such attitude.

    As with every experience of this practice, once again the patient experience and understanding was of the highest level - easy to contact (using the "call back" feature, polite and understanding Receptionist, timely call back from the Doctor (who understood readily and immediately what my issue was) with my notes and past medical history on hand to make a rapid decision for what was required - all with appropriate and good humour too!

    The surgery arranged for me to have a prescription renewed from the information that I gave them without me having to take up an appointment with doctor or nurse. The surgery communicated with me what they had arranged, in the timeframe they had said. What great service.

    I have been with Aylmer Lodge since I moved to England as a child. They have been excellent on every front. In recent months, I have faced into some extremely worrying health concerns, but this has been made better due to the unwavering support I have received during this time. The doctors are accessible, responsive, knowledgeable and supportive. I feel listened to, and that in itself is invaluable when facing serious health concerns. GPs often get a hard time, with being at the coalface of the NHS but I know how hard working they are and how they support their patients when it really matters. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

    Having been unwell for a number of weeks I was starting to feel distressed not something I usually suffer with but the kindness of the staff member i spoke to on the phone and later on reception I cannot fault, thank you both your genuine kindness was truly appreciated

    Went to book on NHS app only to find that you can no longer book a telephone consultation with a doctor of my choice.And there is only one doctor or nurse if you want to book a face to face appointment.Very disappointed as I find booking stressful.Not good for patients with mental health problems.

    Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for your review. We are continually looking at ways to improve our appointent system and value your input. We have recently made changes and contunue to tweak the system when necessary and where possible. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment with your GP of choice due to days off and holidays but if you ask the reception team when the GP of your choice is working, you may find it easier to book with them when you go on-line. You can of course always be seen if your need is urgent on the day. We regularly discuss the appointent system at our weekly meeting and your suggestions will be discussed.     I had the misfortune to have an appointment on 8/9/23 at 10am. At 10.15 a lady came and told me there was an "emergency" and I would have to wait to see the sister when I asked how long I was told "dont know".I asked if it could half an hour="dont know"-could it be 2hours="dont know".No help at all no offer to try to fit me in with someone else or rebook-just an air of total indifference no interest at all in patient care just get on with yourself-shocking. I really think it is not too much to expect better.

    Dear Sir We are aware of what happened on the morning of the 8th September and we are sorry that some of our patients had to wait longer than usual to see our Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Our ANP had a very poorly patient with her who had to be conveyed to hospital. THis patient had to remain in her room with the ANP until the ambulance had arrived. Our Reception Manager kept patents updated on a number of ocassions and informed patients waiting that the wait was likely to be 30 minutes. The wait was in fact 30 minutes as she had suggested. We object to reviews like this being left, It is simply not a reflection of the service that we provide to each and every one of our patients. It was an unforeseeen situation and due to the nature of the business that we are in, emergencies do happen. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent care and although we are not an emergency service, we do sometimes have to provide emergency care. We have had a full investigation into this situation and we are happy that what we did at the time of the emrgency was the correct and appropriate course of action. yours sincerely Aylmer Lodge Cookley Partnership
