Review titled The worst practice I have ever been to in my life
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Robert Barber - Posted on 03 December 2024
Just had a message to remind me of having a flu jab again. I had the jab a couple of weeks ago. Update your records. Twice in the last few weeks I have been into the surgery to make an appointment to see or speak to a doctor and have been told that their are no appointments for the next month. I called in at the surgery last week to make an appointment to see or speak to a doctor as I have suddenly become allergic to dairy which if I have even the smallest amount makes me violently ill. I was told again that their are no appointments for at least a month so call in then or go to the walk in centre. I was also told to ring every morning at 8oc or wait outside the surgery at 8oc in the morning to see if I can get an appointment. I asked if I would then get an appointment and was told ' only if their are any left ' . I really don't know what to do anymore. I'm 77 years old . The surgery is paid for me as their patient and to treat me so this is under false pretences. The Dr I Q app hasn't worked for several weeks so I have to drive to the surgery to order my repeat prescription as I cannot order over the phone either. The favourite phrase that your receptionists use when asked for an appointment is ' Go to the walk in centre ' . Have you actually got any doctors in the surgery.

Review titled Pathetic

Cannot get appointment . Told to call every morning wait in a queue and still told cannot get appointment . Joined surgery in November only time I got to see a gp he said he was busy and could I reschedule my appointment, which I cannot do as I have to keep calling in the morning to be told no appointments left , you can not book an appointment any other day . My husband finally got an appointment since waiting from November and he waited an hour and was then asked if he could come back the next evening at 3.45 ? This surgery is absolutely terrible .

Dear Joanne, Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that you were not able to get an appointment since November and the poor experience your husband had, having to wait for an hr and being advised to come back the next evening. I welcome the opportunity to put this right. Please may I request you to contact the surgery on nnicb-nn.baldertonpractice@nhs.net with your full name and contact details so that we investigate the cause of your feedback, and aim to improve our service to you and other patients where possible. Thank you for taking the time and for your patience. Christine Clark Practice Manager

Review titled Not providing any service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 March 2024
My son is likely diabetic and feeling unwell. We have called this surgery 7 times to ask for an appointment. The answer is always "call 8am in the morning". When you call at 8, you are on hold for 40 minutes and they tell you that there are no appointments available. When you complain, you are being told that "change surgery if you don't like it". It seems to be the same process, regardless of why you are calling. Started to doubt that this surgery is providing any appointments to the public at all. Probably, just getting funds for nothing. Online it says that this surgery is taking new patients. I am wondering why if they are not providing any services.

Review titled well managed GP surgery
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Janak Prasai - Posted on 19 December 2023
I think ,this is a very well run and managed GP surgery. All the staff are very pleasant, caring and attentive. I have not found any fault and that is the reason why I am registered with this practice even though I live near the Newark town.

Review titled Absolute joke
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Michelle Marvin - Posted on 24 May 2023
Tried to get an appointment with a Doctor as want to talk about changing some of my meds and not something the Clinical Pharmacist could do (who are great) and as 'non urgent' no appointments until July. Not receptionists fault but this is beyond a joke. Taking on new patients and not enough Doctors. Money talks!

Review titled Hide behind the DrIQ app they can’t use
Rated 1 star out of 5

Uploaded photos of a diabetic review letter from Kings Mill Hospital asking for change in medication. Request rejected and their feed back was bring the letter to the surgery so they could copy it. What’s the point of having an app?

Review titled Disappointed Again with administration
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Chopper37 - Posted on 30 December 2022
I saw my opticician due to Diabetes. Detected deterioration especially with bleeding behind eyes. Need to see GP. Saw nurse who took blood tests said would be in contact if any issues with blood samples. Nothing heard. Saw a consultant at Newark hospital about another matter. She picked up latest blood test showed anemia. Surgery has failed to contact me. Saw GP ( he is excellent ) about another matter and he Saw comments from consultant. Wanted fasting blood tests and stool test, and asked to book further appointment to discuss Diabetes and Aneamia. Went in for bllod tests and took stool sample in. When tried to book face to face appointment with GP met with problem. I am obviously concerned about both Diabetes and Aneamia especially as Surgery had not contacted me. I have been given a telephone appointment with GP on the 25th January and Not face to face. This is appalling and causing me both anxiety and depression. Surgery admin 1 star, but the GP I have been seeing is 5 star, just a pity cannot discuss results and treatment in person. Had an issue with this,Surgery with referral to ENT with it being routine. This turned out to be throat Cancer !
