Review titled booking for baby under 1 makes difficult

My 9m baby seems to be constantly sick these days. He got a high fever, then got better the next day, then high fever again. We have followed all advice from government website and tried to treat him at home. Anyhow when his temperature felt ok, he got flu/cold symptoms and rash all over his face and body. That worried me a lot. Yesterday I called 111 for a whole day and couldn't get through. I tried to book an appointment with Banbury Cross Health but only to be informed that I had to call 111. I tried to explain my situation and that I had called 111 many times and waited for a long time for no response. However, nothing could be done and that seems to be the rule we have to follow.

Practitioners usually experience great difficulty when trying to take blood from me. This Health Care Assistant did a great job in finding a vein first time, resulting in a stress free experience. I thanked her for her good work.

My doctor is very thorough , caring and listens to concerns and is very helpful . I like that I can see the same doctor who k it’s me and I can pre book my appointment request online and then get offered my appointment on text

I have a continuous cough so I cough all the time we’re ever I am and I have had lots of appointments here over the last few weeks. It doesn’t matter who I see they are very thorough and very friendly and helpful as I struggle to stop coughing. They also make me feel at ease and not embarrassed because of my condition

There are lots of moans about GP service on social media, but I cant see fault. The new online self referral system is brilliant, much better and easier than phoning in and means I can get a suitable appointment at a time that works for me, and do it when its convenient for me not when I need to compete with hundreds of others phoning in. The car park is much improved, checking in easy and helpful and I was didnt have time to even sit down in the waiting room before seeing a doctor. The doctor was inclusive, listened and checked I was absolutely happy with my outcome before the appointment finished.

I had an appointment with a nurse practitioner on Friday and she was absolutely lovely. She put my mind at ease about why I was seeing her and was extremely polite and bubbly. At no point during my appointment was I made to feel the reason I was there was a waste of her time. I would not hesitate to see her again and think she is a real asset to the practice and the NHS.

Please train the receptionist that asthma is not chemist issue. Due to this I ended up at hospital last night . I did not take her advise to go to chemist as having asthma for 35 yrs I know chemist cannot help me .

After arriving 7 minutes late to an appointment and trying to call though to say the traffic is bad we are on our way, the doctor wouldn’t see us although advised appointments still available for the evening. Our daughter ended up in hospital the same evening! Could have been avoided had the doctor seen us that evening. We were happy to wait!
