  1. Review titled Thank you Pharmacy Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Catherine Walker - Posted on 14 March 2025

I had an urgent query following on from my orthopaedic outpatients yesterday and need more antibiotics by Tuesday (today being Friday) and Orthopaedic letter not arriving at practice. Kerry called me and took details, said she would ring Orthopaedic s and try to sort it out for me. 30 mins later, a text arrives to say they have been sorted and should be at my dedicated pharmacy in time for when i need them early next week. Thank you for your prompt handling of this for me. Greatly appreciated Kerry

  2. Review titled More poor care

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to get an appointment with GP. Have to wait at least 3 weeks for routine appointments. Can't get repeat prescription updated. No proper follow up. Problems which are important downgraded to green so no action.

Dear Patient, Im sorry to read this, but also, it’s a little difficult to look at specifics as I don’t have any details. If you’re struggling with your medication/prescription, please call out medicines management help line between 8 and 12.30 on 01524511999 option 3 . By the nature of a routine appointment it is not deemed to be urgent and yes the wait can be “up to 3 weeks” normally sooner. I am concerned you used the term Downgraded as this is something our team should not say to a patient. If a patient is unable to attend an offered appointment, we would re assess your request with the clinical assessment team to see if the appointment could wait a few days or not, but we do not downgrade a patient’s illness. I’m sorry you seem to have had a bad experience, if you want to discuss this further please contact me at the surgery on the main line and I can look at the specific incident for you. 3. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kat Mann - Posted on 08 May 2024

Had the best support from the district nurses. My brother's end of life care was amazing. They were there for me as his main carer and provided support went above and beyond. The best team of nurses Bay Medical should be proud 👏

  5. Review titled Fantastic Person Centred Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sheldon Kent - Posted on 19 September 2023

I visited the practice today with my daughter with regards to some concerns about her possibly having a chest infection and seeking a potential diagnosis for asthma. The doctor was absolutely brilliant, listened carefully to what my daughter had to say, and put her at ease very quickly. She was incredibly helpful and made sure that my daughter got the help that she needed.

After a really bad experience I saw a wonderful lady who was very sympathetic about my needle phobia. Blood sample taken quickly by a caring, funny and lovely nurse xx

  7. Review titled Great handling of a sensitive issue

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Adam Reynolds - Posted on 22 May 2023

I saw acp with bay medical group. The issue was of a sensitive nature, but I was made to feel at ease and comfortable despite the situation. The clinician spoke to me at the right level, explaining the treatment plan and his professional opinion on the matter in terms that could be understood. This has meant that anxiety has been kept to a minimum, whilst also offering as much clarity as possible, which is as much as a patient can reasonably ask for in my opinion.
