After you have gone through the checking in with a receptionist and explained the problem I've had a good response. I was called by a member of the staff and asked to go for a consultation with her. I was checked over and I still had an infection in my lungs. I was told to use my rescue pack and she prescribed a new pack.

I am due to have some tricky surgery privately in Southampton Spire Hospital on 11th April and was asked to obtain full bloods and an ECG within one week. Despite being a really busy surgery, they pulled out all the stops to get me in for tests within 3 days and turn around the full results for my surgeon in less than 48 hours. I want say a massive thank you to my GP . My journey has been arduous over the past 12 months but my GP has been there every step of the way, listening to my concerns and making proactive contact with 3 specialist area in order to get a diagnosis. It was unfortunate that I have needed to self fund the parathyroidectomy and Thyroid lobectomy but I am really hopeful that this will make a significant difference to my poor health and enable me to keep working until retirement. Thank you

Got an appointment through direct invitation for covid jab. Options for availability and large car park which made access really easy. Large practice with plenty of space and a quick check in at entrance.

Took my wife for Blood tests. She is quite poorly. I had got the day wrong. The staff pulled out all the stops and fitted my wife in to save her from turning out again. Excellent service.

My appointment at Beacon medical practice was as you would expect, prompt and easy to confirm attendance, staff were very helpful and explained my options of medication, I left with an option to communicate with the member of staff post visit. Overall a good outcome for myself.

Rang surgery Friday morning was told to do eConsult (first time with this practice) wouldn't upload photos from phone. Rang surgery & explained. Received call from Dr at 4.20pm told him symptoms etc. told me he woukd write prescription for antibiotics. Went chemist at 7pm not there tried again Saturday and then Sunday not received. As infection and pain had spread from toes towards my ankle I Rang 111 and had emergency appointment at Plymouth Practice Plus antibiotics prescribed and collected 10 minutes later from chemist. Was warned to keep an eye on foot for sepsis. This was the first time I had to contact/consult a doctor at this practice so was really disappointed that the prescription had not been issued despite telling me it would be. I could of ended up at A & E if it had been left longer.

Dear Christine, Thankyou for your comments . We are very sorry that the prescription was not available at the pharmacy for you. We are looking into this as normally prescriptions are sent within a few hours of being generated. We will look into it to investigate what happened on the day and speak to staff accordingly.

Too big. Have to wait a long time on the phone. For Example: number 22 in the queue. Slow in getting back to patients. From plympton to Ivybridge for an injection is a long way for elderly people.

I needed to book a blood test I visited the surgery to hand in blood pressure readings and mentioned I needed to book a blood test. The lady on reception had a look on the system and found and appointment the same morning at Highlands surgery - excellent service from both surgeries. I was getting low on medication and that was also sorted very quickly and sent over to local pharmacy.

My doctor has identified a condition and has chased up my referral but there appears to be a bit of a waiting list but the gp service is fine.
