  1. Review titled Impossible to see GP. Systems are failing patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2023

This Surgery has really gone downhill since Covid. Their online booking is terrible and older people won’t understand it, plus it only works half days!! The phone system is worse. You literally cannot get through and are told basically don’t call unless you’re dying! We used to have a GP at Riccall but that’s now a thing of the past. You can be stood at the desk asking to see a GP and told to use the online system. How stupid is that? You’re in the doctors and can’t actually book! This Surgery is failing its patients just on trying to book alone. Terrible terrible experience and very stressful.

  2. Review titled Diabolical

Rated 1 star out of 5

Contacted by the NHS for a check up, had ten day's to make an appointment via the link they sent, every time I tried on the link it came back as no appointments, tried to also make an appointment on the booking online system to no avail. Following a recent chest infection I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, I understand the practice as well as many others are struggling but this is well below par. Going to sign up at the local vet as I have been assured that I will be seen a lot quicker.

  3. Review titled Making Contact

Rated 2 stars out of 5

At 2.30pm today the on-line facility was not functioning. Tried to telephone but was 30+ in the queue. There is not other option to enable contact / request an appointment / a call back etc. So, patients are "locked out". Not good from a patient support / care perspective.

  4. Review titled Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

Telephoned for an appointment because I had chest pains & poor breathing. I had to go through triage when I was asked several questions & was told I would be contacted. The next day I received a text giving me an appointment 14 days later! Totally unacceptable. I want to transfer to another practice with a better reputation.

  5. Review titled Not good

Rated 1 star out of 5

Had several poor experiences at the practice, there is a real lack of care here now and there is one receptionist I avoid as she has had me in tears more than once, health issues are openly discussed at reception with no privacy at all. I genuinely feel like it’s a fight now to get an appointment and it feels so stressful going in, there is hardly any point in ringing as they usually don’t answer the phone, online services are poor, today it’s not working for some reason. It used to be a good practice but sadly not any more.

  6. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

The online appointment booking service is ridiculously complicated. I was turned away from the actual reception and told to book online despite the fact that I was the only patient there. Now having to wait 19 days for telephone contact by a 'clinician'. This surely can't be acceptable, especially as I need to speak to an actual GP. One wonders who actually triages these on line forms. Whoever it was clearly missed the point. What an appalling way to run a "care" service. Such a shame because this used to be a good GP practice
