Review titled Unable to get an appointment for child
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been a patient at this medical practice for several years, and I have consistently received excellent care without any issues. However, today I called to schedule an appointment for my child, who has been suffering from a cough for several weeks and is experiencing chest pain. After waiting for the receptionist to check on the situation, I was informed that they would provide a referral to a pharmacist to determine if an appointment with a doctor was necessary. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this approach and insisted that my child be seen by a doctor who could properly examine her chest. After some back-and-forth, they finally offered me an appointment 50 minutes later. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I was unable to arrive within that timeframe and requested a later appointment for the same day. I was informed that appointments are scheduled in specific slots and that the one offered was the only option available, despite the existence of later openings. A request for a later appointment was outright denied, and I was told that a pharmacy appointment would be arranged, with a promise of contact within two hours. Three hours later, having received no call from the pharmacy, I contacted the practice again, only to be told that I needed to reach out to the pharmacy myself. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service and reiterated my desire for my daughter to see a doctor, but this request was denied since I had not been assigned a pharmacy appointment and could not attend the 9:30 appointment they had offered they would not do anything else. After further insistence on my part, I was finally given an appointment two hours later. It is evident that there are available appointments; why are these not being offered to patients? While I understand the value of having a pharmacy as a backup when doctors are fully booked, to hold back appointments then doctors are free it is unreasonable to limit patients to a single appointment time, especially when other options are available.

I phoned the surgery and asked for a face to face appointment with a GP for my child, I believed she had a water infection. I waited ages for the receptionist to answer , when I finally got through , she sounded like I had interrupting her day. her manor was rude and arrogant. She advice me to do a online request via the website, which I did. received a call back with in 2 hours, which asked to to ring surgery to book appointment to see GP. so after 4 hours off messing about. i got my face to face - which I don't understand why I wasn't offered this in the first place! seems to be its poorly run practice and staff passing the buck!
