I attended a flu vaccination on Sat 29 October. The whole process was very efficiently run by staff from the Wadhurst Medical Group. No waiting and just a slightly sore arm afterwards.

I was referred to the surgery by 111 because I required an appointment with the doctor within 2 hours. I was told no appointments were available and to phone back in the morning. I knew something was very wrong with me but could not get past the receptionist to contact the doctor. I was in tears on the phone but constantly told to ring in the morning. I called back 111 who immediately found a doctor to speak to me who insisted I went to A & E. I was fast tracked at A & E and sent for emergency surgery as I had a perforated acute appendicitis. Thank goodness I followed my intuition and did not listen to the receptionist who has no medical training and should not be making decisions without talking to a doctor. I am very lucky to still be alive
