  1. Review titled Very caring, considerate and helpful surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 November 2024

I assume that being asked to review my surgery visit; my honest opinion is expected?? I’ve had a very uncomfortable (presumably incurable?) skin rash for several years now and along side that I get sore joints that seem to worsen when the skin condition worsen. I think that I have an acid body condition that causes my skin to “burn” when I perspire This was investigated on referral and it as reported that a connection was unlikely but that I might benefit from injections to reduce inflammation in my joints Since the soreness can be in any of my joints, I opted not to have injections at that time but recently I had soreness in my back, hip and leg so asked if I could have anti-inflammatory tablets but was advised that they have bad side effects and not recommended Instead he kindly arranged an appointment for me to see the Physiotherapist in the hope that might help I didn’t know what to expect but found that it was “non medical” in that my past condition was not considered and no physical examination was made but I was given exercise instructions I now understand that is what physiotherapy is about -and about keeping people – especially old people- mobile with exercises I was pleased of the appointment, though and although doubtful, can only hope that the exercises will reduce joint soreness but can't envisage how?? I exercise well anyway and use an anti inflammatory gel and find that helps but perhaps I might ask to resort to the recommended injections if things worsen

  2. Review titled impossible to get help

Rated 1 star out of 5

the GP will only handle appointments over the webisite and not over the phone or in person as well as only handling one symptom at a time, they also never contact you regarding referuls and so on. due to this it take almost up to a year just for me to get help i need and since court is involved its only gotten harder as well as the fact i have not been told if or when i can get help and my mental and physical health declines way faster then they are willing to help.

  3. Review titled Excellent GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Worried Granny - Posted on 15 May 2024

Having contacted 111 about a poorly grandchild I was redirected to his Surgery. The GP who called me back managed to see us at the end of her busy day. She could not have been kinder, more friendly, thorough & approachable to my grandson & me. She immediately gained his trust. My fears were dealt with, but I was not made to feel that I had been wasting her time. Thank you so much. I am full of appreciation .

  4. Review titled 22 Years and Counting

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carrie - Posted on 23 May 2024

They've always been professional and friendly, made me felt heard, seen, and cared for. Even when I've gone to them saying it was something, but they knew as well as said it was something else which is was, they still listened, then got me on the right treatment. And i know for a fact if i ever had an issue that i could go to them with it and they would make sure it got resolved without being rude to me or treating me differently after as they're that professional and caring for their patients. And even though it's their job to look after us, they still look after us, they deserve our respect, a simple hello, how are you, and most importantly thank you. So Thank you to Bennetts End Surgery for always taking care of me!

  5. Review titled Disaster

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Adrian - Posted on 03 April 2024

What is the point of it? You start calling them at 8am sharp when they open, you are told by automated system that you are 16th in the queue, you wait for 48 minutes to get through, someone answers your phone just to be told you are unlucky and should try again tomorrow as there are no bookings left. If that was the NHS goal to deal with number of patients then missions accomplished I guess!

  6. Review titled Efficient once I got through

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Brian Frank Worrell - Posted on 05 December 2023

Once I managed to talk to a doctor with a phone back appointment, things proceeded quickly and efficiently. Getting through in the first place is the difficulty and the on-line triage system didn't seem to work for me.

  8. Review titled A continuously stressful experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tracy - Posted on 18 December 2023

I dread myself or my children needing anything from this surgery and do as much as possible to keep my interactions with them minimal. From my recent experiences they have changed their contact procedure again (several times over the last few years). Now you cannot phone or go in to get an appointment, you must complete the form online. Often this form is not working. Twice I have completed with no contact. Eventually I phoned and the receptionist filled it in over the phone and managed to get an appointment. My son's experience is that he has had a badly infected toe for over 11 weeks and 2 rounds of antibiotics, yet not a single doctor has looked at this in person. My own experience is the joy of trying to have a medication from an external consultant added to my regular prescriptions. We've sent letters and I've dropped them off in person but three months later, nothing. To contact them I must do it online (form is out of order) or call up after 2pm (phone line often says it is closed). When you can actually get through to see someone the doctors here are amazing, it's just that you have to endure the battle of endurance and wits to somehow contact them in the first place.

Asked for ecg, blood pressure and bmi to be printed off cause they aren’t sending result off so I have resorted to hand taking them to my mental health team. They ended up printing blood tests from June rather then the recent ect done in October tbh a joke of a surgery been waiting four weeks for an appointment to have my ecg and get the results let alone the time from the adhd meds being prescribed very angry
