    Weeks and weeks of calling and being cut off in the queue after hanging on for hours. Does not matter if you call at 1 second passed 08:30 or later in the day, the phone queue will be in double digits! Patient Access service does not allow appointments to be booked on-line; constant message saying you have booked the maximum number of requests - although no booking requests have been made!? You do get the odd text from them asking for you to arrange a routine review, but again, why bother, you will not get through (or at the best spend days trying!). I've been informed by other unfortunates that are 'serviced' by Bethesda that the only way is to turn up at 8am (or 7am on a Friday) and queue to ask the receptionists for an appointment! But, be prepared to wait several weeks for your GP! Not sure why I'm wasting any more time on this review, I doubt there will be any response! If you are reading this and the others below / above, which are in the same vein, please, please for the sake of your health consider finding another GP Practice, that is what I'm off to do.

    Dear Patient I was very sorry to receive your email detailing your unhappiness with the service provided at the Surgery, particularly in regard to access to appointments. We are aware of the problems with our telephone software and we are migrating to a new system from 24th August which will give our patients the ability to have a call back rather than wait in a queue. Unfortunately with regard to on-line booking we are aware of the difficulties our patients are having. We have recently changed our appointments system and there has been teething problems with getting the on-line appointment booking system working but we are working on this and hopefully this will be available to our patients soon. I would like to apologise to you and the rest of our patients for the inconvenience that they have suffered. Best wishes Rachael Practice Manager

    This place is a sick joke. I filled in an e-consult form on behalf of my dad because we wanted to request long-term antibiotics for UTIs and were told he'd have to fill one in to get it seen to. He has collapsed several times, been taken to hospital in an ambulance and two hospital visits. Most recently he has been injured from collapsing and is in a lot of pain in his foot, ankle (which is swollen), knee, hip, back, shoulder, neck. To submit the e-consult form I had to pretend he doesn't have cancer or is not having cancer treatment, otherwise the form stops and you cannot proceed. So I filled in all his injuries, filling in his pain levels (8 and 9s, he is in so much pain that nothing else matters!), his collapsing, his UTIs causing hospitalisation. I submitted the form a week ago. I asked my parents if they've heard anything yet. Yes, my dad will have a phone call appointment sometime.... What is wrong with this place? You need to physically see your patients! How can you assess his injuries, his mental health, his deterioration from his cancer and ongoing horrendous pain!! He's my dad! He needs actual care and help at this super difficult time, he needs to see a GP!

    I struggle to access GP care due to previous traumatic experiences. I keep finding that staff are rude and speak harshly both over the phone and in person. When this happens I instantly panic and have to tell the person to stop as I need to leave. They then get worse and on three occassions have started actually shouting at me. I've never raised my voice or been rude and they know on my file I have panic attacks easily when attending medical care so I don't understand why they don't try and help me and instead just act like I'm being difficult. My PTSD is a disability and instead of being helped to access care I'm being almost blocked.

  4. Review titled poor phone service & repeat prescriptions

    I signed up for the new online repeat prescription service . I put my order in on the 7th January , I gave them 7 days before going to the pharmacy to collect , Only to be told they have nothing for me. I was told by the pharmacy to contact the surgery . But to press 2 for prescription service . I waited till the process completed , The phone was ringing . No answer . Then a recorded voice came on telling me there was nobody to take the call , I tried again 2 days later . same experience . I have sent them messages twice . Still no prescription . Bethesda used to be a great place , I am not sure what happened .

  5. Review titled Wouldn't recommend

    Long queues on the phone and a rude reception team. When I spoke to someone on the reception the lady wasn't very friendly, kept on interrupting me before I got to speak and was quick to get rid of me, felt like a burden.
