Review titled Long wait
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 April 2024
Dr very good but had nearly a 40 min wait only 2 other people there who came in after me and went in before me. Reception staff very impatient with elderly man who was hard of hearing and gossiping about patients and work

Very quick and efficient and accommodated a special request for a specific date for the appointment which was very much appreciated. After the consultation I was sent some material to read regarding my condition and what to look out for. Thank you

Review titled Getting better.
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Phillip Bolt - Posted on 19 April 2024
My family and I have been with Beversbrook since 2008. It was a great practice, you could get an appointment for the same day and nearly always saw the same doctor. Around 2015-16 it seemed to start going downhill to the point we almost left. However, over the last 18 months or so things do seem to be improving again but still a way to go. Would be nice to get a face to face same day appointment but I guess those days are gone.

I had an extremely helpful nurse who was friendly and incredibly helpful. She was very thorough and I left the appointment very happy that I had attended it. She provided lots of information concerning my ailment. Fantastic

Review titled Reception don’t listen resulting in wasted appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by King - Posted on 12 April 2024
I requested a doctors appointment ( as instructed by the GP) to review blood test results. Receptionist took it upon themselves to give me a nurse appointment. The nurse could not refer and could only speak to GP making the appointment an avoidable waste of time. Nurse did her best, GP seen previously was excellent.

Review titled Needs better screening for use of remote appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 April 2024
Initial response with f2f nurse appointment and phone call from GP when needed was fine (I was prescribed antibiotics and told to get back in touch on Monday if I did not improve and fever continued). However, I did fail to improve with treatment, and when requesting further help I was given a phone call with a nurse. Despite the GP saying that I should have sought help at that time and out of accordance with advice on the NHS website she said more time was needed and advised no further action. Most concerning my she said antibiotics need at least 48 hours to start to see an impact and couldn’t seem to understand that I had been taking them for the equivalent of 3 full days at that the time which was in excess of that. I did what she said and waited another day but still didn’t improve, my need for another appointment was first queried and then I was refused a face to face appointment until I had finished the course of antibiotics, despite my condition not being fully assessed as the first GP appointment was remote. I was also advised to cancel the appointment if I felt it wasn’t needed, making me feel that I was taking up too much time with unnecessary requests. When I did attend the appointment the GP was very thorough and made me feel in great hands, however it resulted in an urgent referral to A&E and and overnight stay in hospital. I can’t help but feel that the outcome would have been less extreme (and cost the NHS far less overall) if I had been seen earlier.

Review titled Poor internal communications
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Vicki King - Posted on 27 April 2024
Having booked an appt gor carpel tunnel injections in both my wrists, and having had several reminders of that appointment, I arrived only to be called into a consulting room with a Dr. unable to give them to me. Somehow, and despite the messages confirming, I was put on the list of the wrong doctor. This meant his time was wasted as was mine along with mine. Thus mix up should not have happened, it was simply careless.
