Today I called birkwood medical centre to ask if they had received a form from DVLA asking to confirm that I'm fit and healthy to obtain a HGV C class licence due to my previous mental health issues. I'm two weeks into my hgv course and explained that I need this returning in order to book my theory tests and complete the course. I was then told it can take up to 6 weeks to complete said form as it's not priority due to being non NHS. After pleading with the completely unsympathetic receptionist that this is very important as it's my path back to full time employment again, I just got the same scripted upto 6 weeks answer . I was then passed to a so called senior colleague, who just repeated the same as her colleague, even though at which point I became emotionally upset. Absolutely no empathy or common sense from a complete disgrace of a GP surgery. The many appalling reviews are not a coincidence
