My wife has had to pay privately for an MRI due to the failure of the nhs to provide a timely appointment to investigate chronic back pain. She is practically bed ridden. The MRI suggests that my wife is suffering severe pain from a trapped nerve between two collapsing discs. She also has the onset of Osteoarthritis and Stenosis. If left untreated this can lead to being in a wheelchair. She contacted the surgery today for support and a consultation with a doctor to discuss treatment but was told no-one can call her until September 10! She is in chronic pain and practically bed ridden and needs urgent treatment, or at least referral to a health provider that can provide timely treatment. The service from Bishops Castle surgery is a disgrace!!!
