    Phone line always off, when it is on you wait 25 mins at first place in the queue, ask my gp always offline and displays incorrect information, receptionists are rude, tell lies and are dismissive. Had the phone put down on me today by the receptionist after waiting 30 minutes at number 1 in the queue, the gp had missed 2 phone call appointments with myself yesterday and when i asked about was told i would have to wait another week, when i said this was unacceptable and aske for another solution she hung up on me, appauling.

    Dear Mr Worthingon, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. All reviews, good, bad or indifferent, are taken seriously by the Practice. I understand your frustration that the phone lines were busy and you were held in a queue for some time. Every call taken, at the Practice, is given the appropriate time to enable the caller to deal with the issue in hand. I understand that the handler explained the issue regarding the GP telephone call at that time. We operate a zero tolerance policy where abusive behaviour and/or language will not be tolerated and will result in the handler terminating the call.     Rang to ask for appointment could not give me appointment, but could give me a phone service this I never got it’s now 4 days since i rang. Rang back the next day and was told not to worry. I will be called today which was Thursday. I have been with the surgery 50 years or more. And I never had to complain before. So please can somebody pick the phone up and let me know what’s happening.

    New to this practice,rang this morning,spoke to a lovely receptionist who sorted appointments for new patient medical ,smear and flu injection all at a convenient day and time for me. I mentioned I had a urine infection ,she filled the ask my GP form for me over the phone. 20 minutes later the Nurse Practitioner rang me and sorted things out and prescription sent to the pharmacy. Excellent service and credit where credit is due. Could not have asked for a better experience. Well done to all the team.

    Getting past the reception is an absolute battle. (If you can get in touch with them!) tried to book an appointment but the Ask My GP app was turned off, tried phoning and after 20 mins spoke to someone who then said you have to make an appointment on the App (Ffs!)when I said it was useless the receptionist said “ Me or the system? Because if it’s me then I’ll hang up now” that’s what they think of us plebs! It comes to something when you can’t make a valid complaint without being threatened! The system is not Fit For Purpose. And I’m sure that if the GP’s knew how their reception acts they would do something about it. Wouldn’t give them the steam off my tea. When I got through she wanted to know what the symptoms were - sorry but she isn’t qualified to ask me my problems, she isn’t a GP so she got no information from me. Poor on all fronts!

    I have been with boothstown medical center (in its various incarnations) for over 50 years. The service is getting ridiculous. I tried to book an appointment online to find that the online service was not working (why this has to be a live booking service i do not know) The site advised me to contact the GP surgery directly. I was on hold for 5 minutes only to be told that i had to wait until Monday (today is Friday) to book online again. This is madness. In 2023 we dont have a system that can take booking and distribute them so staff when they are available. The service was better when a pad and pencil was used.
