    I have asthma and following a chest infection I had increased shortness of breath and wheezing aggravating my symptoms. I was not so bad to rush to a&e, I always try to manage with my inhaler and over the counter medicine but after 10 days being unwell and feeling worse on a Sunday I wanted to see someone as I thought I may now need antibiotics. My doctor surgery was closed so I called this walk-in before making my way there only to be told to ring 111 instead. Not what I expect from a walk-in service. It is not practical with some conditions to get an accurate diagnosis from a phone call and need a prescription on a Sunday. The receptionist was nice enough but it is a disappointment walk-in service and unfortunately the only one in my area to seek help on a weekend

    Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately we have a limited number of appointments per day and these are offered on a first come first served basis.     As visitors to the area, when my wife developed an infection on Christmas Eve, we were expecting a long wait to get treatment in a crowded environment, but having initially contacted reception by phone and being asked to provide a sample, she was given a time to attend about an hour later, when she was seen very quickly by the duty doctor who prescribed the necessary antibiotics. And there were only a few people in the waiting area, so no concerns about social distancing. Overall this was a much more positive outcome than we could have expected in our own NHS area, and the whole set up and staff are to be congratulated for providing such an effective and professional service. Thank you.

    Visited with my poorly children on 18/12/22. After a very anxious sleepless night this service was exactly what was needed. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the wait time shorter than expected, the environment clean and the GP was fantastic. He was kind, empathetic, thorough, reassuring and gave us a clear plan (with a back up if medication couldn’t be sourced) and clear safety netting advice if conditioned worsened. An example of the NHS at its best, providing great service when it wast needed. Thank you!

    Having just arrived for a weeks holiday in Swanage my wife realised she had left her BP pills at home. We rang the surgery’s 8.10am Sunday morning spoke to a helpful receptionist, who informed us they could help my wife. The attendant doctor was charming friendly, and sorted out the prescription to be picked up from pharmacy in Swanage. So grateful.

    Attended 17th Sept 2pm. Greeted by two very caring and professional receptionists who arranged for me to be seen straight away. Then seen once again by an excellent nurse practitioner who again was so caring and professional. My thanks go to all of you.
