    After having many terrible experiences at my home town surgery I decided enough was enough and moved over to Bowburn and so pleased I did! I’ve even registered my 2 children with them because of the amazing service I’ve received the last 3 year. I’ve never had a problem getting a face to face appointment, I’ve never been left feeling stupid for mine or my children’s health worries, the staff have always been extremely friendly and amazing help and I’ve even had follow up calls from nurses/ doctor to make sure everything is ok. I highly recommend Bowburn surgery to anybody I speak to.

    Over the last 3 months I have needed to visit the surgery a few times. Every time I ring for an appointment around 8.30am The reception staff are very helpful, polite and friendly and they guide me to the right person which I need to see. The nurse practitioners and Doctors which I have seen have given excellent guidance and advice and also helped me get an emergency same day hospital appointment. I was given the time to talk about my issues and no point was I rushed or I made to feel like I was wasting their time. I was also seen promptly on time for each appointment. Really happy with the service the practice is providing.

  3. Review titled Prescription Issues

    On two occasions in the last month. Prescriptions have been issued at an appointment, only to not be 'signed off' at the time of the appointment which has meant a great deal of back and forth between the pharmacy and the surgery. It would be great if when prescriptions are issued they could be completed or we are informed when they will be ready.

We were made aware of this technical issue which was affecting one of our GP's. This has now been resolved and we do not envisage any further issues of this nature.     I went to request a repeat prescription but the site has changed,so i had to do it by phoning,Why.I have tried to e-mail Bowburn Surgery and again no luck.I am a 63 year old male,i was not brought up with all of this technology,so why do you make it so difficult.I am angry and frustrated.Why do you put me through it i am stressed and disheartened.

    Thank you for your feedback Mr Steel. I am sorry to learn that you have encountered some difficulties which have left you feeling frustrated and disheartened. We have not made any changes to the System1 website, although there was the introduction of the NHS app and there were some changes to the website. We are always happy to hear feedback from our patients, and if you are still encountering issues please do let the reception team know, they will be happy to help resolve this for you. We have introduced the telephone voicemail ordering line which we hope patients find helpful. If you prefer telephone over the app, please call the surgery and select the repeat prescription option. You will be asked to leave a voicemail of your request. This will be processed by the reception team who will contact you if they have any queries. Thank you again for your feedback.
