  2. Review titled Walk in experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I feel credit needs to be given to the prompt actions taken upon a recent visit to the walk in centre. The expertise and knowledge of the nurse enabled a swift response to get me to Hospital and the necessary treatment to be given. Also upon a subsequent visit I received the same level of care. A huge thank you to the team for the outstanding care and service for all that you do.

  3. Review titled Extremely supportive & helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My first time using the repeat prescription service, and I had completely missed the request timeline and my medication was running out. On realizing I visited the Health Centre and the lady on reception did everything she could as quickly as possible to ensure that I was able to get my prescription fulfilled to ensure no interruption. She was very considerate and supportive, providing reassurance as she supported me through the process, and even when the computer system temporarily stopped working she found a workaround with a smile. Thank you!

  5. Review titled Appointments and long wait times

Rated 2 stars out of 5

No same day appointments and huge wait times, 3 hours, not enough seating for people waiting and not enough parking spaces for patients

I am sorry that you are not happy with our service - our Walk-In Centre gives people an opportunity to see a variety of clinicians for urgent issues on the day. In the last month we have seen a huge rise in patients since the outbreak of Strep A and concerns around coughs and unfortunately this has increased our waiting times. In particular we have seen a big increase in patients using our Walk-In Centre since Christmas and with the NHS issues. If you would like to discuss this further then please feel free to phone the surgery and ask to speak to me, the Practice Business Manager.

  6. Review titled Looks great ......... but a frustratingly poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Lisa Roberts - Posted on 04 October 2022

Had to go into the surgery to book an appointment as it is more or less impossible to speak to anyone on the telephone when you call.... on a number of occasions I've not even been able to get through to hear the recorded message. It was the 26th September and the first appointment I was offered to see a Doctor was the 1st November!! I want to be able to access my children's medical records online so that I can order repeat prescriptions without having to visit the practice. I filled in the necessary forms and handed them in almost 2 months ago and still that hasn't been actioned. I went into the practice to ask about this a few weeks ago and was told there was a backlog. I emailed last week about it and have received no reply and have been in again today as it still has not been actioned. Every year I have a battle to organise a flu jab for my teenage daughter who is receiving ongoing chemo treatment and is therefore required to have the injection ... the letter from the JR hospital says so....and every year that request is queried and I have to battle to get it sorted after being told 'we don't do that for children' etc etc. I also don't understand why Brackley Medical Centre is not offering a Covid Booster service meaning that we are having to drive past that fabulous new facility and travel to Northampton to get that done. I can only assume that this practice is now horrendously under staffed and unable to cope with the number of patients it now has registered.....and yet it is still accepting new patients I see. I've been with this practice (Washington House Surgery) now since 1996 and the quality of service now does not compare with the standard of care that we used to get.
