Review titled Awful service with prescriptions
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Richard Smith - Posted on 31 August 2024
I left a repeat prescription on Monday 26 August for 4 items, 2 of which are for my Type 2 Diabetes. I received an email from the pharmacist on Saturday 31 August, saying my medication is ready for collection. Only one item was there, and not one for Diabetes. I cannot contact the surgery until Monday 2 September, and I'm away the following weekend for 2 weeks. I had a face to face appointment with a GP on Friday 24 August to discuss my medication, and was told all will be left as per my prescription, so there is no reason for my medication to be missing. This has happened multiple times in the past, they have even lost my repeat prescription twice. Now it seems there is a problem with my medication every second time I order it. I also suffer from a rare nerve condition, and the prospect of running out of any particular item causes me to be extremely anxious to the point I can feel quite unwell. Whenever I go to the surgery to try to rectify the situation, the staff give a very clear indication they do not take these errors seriously, which makes me feel even worse. I now expect there to be an issue whenever I order any medication. Whoever is responsible for prescriptions needs to understand the effect their incompetence has, and at least notify me if there is a problem, otherwise it can take 2 weeks before I receive what I've ordered. Apologies are extremely rare.
